'Discipline' in the Bible

“But if after these things you will not obey Me, I will proceed to discipline you seven times for your sins.

“If in spite of these things you do not accept My discipline, but act with hostility toward Me,

I will act with furious hostility toward you; I will also discipline you seven times for your sins.

You must understand today that it is not your children who experienced or saw the discipline of the Lord your God:His greatness, strong hand, and outstretched arm;
