BOOK I(Psalms 1–41)How happy is the manwho does not follow the advice of the wickedor take the path of sinnersor join a group of mockers!

You reveal the path of life to me;in Your presence is abundant joy;in Your right hand are eternal pleasures.

Because of my adversaries,show me Your way, Lord,and lead me on a level path.

Even on his bed he makes malicious plans.He sets himself on a path that is not goodand does not reject evil.

Our hearts have not turned back;our steps have not strayed from Your path.

Your way went through the seaand Your path through the great waters,but Your footprints were unseen.

He cleared a path for His anger.He did not spare them from deathbut delivered their lives to the plague.

He led them by the right pathto go to a city where they could live.

Help me stay on the path of Your commands,for I take pleasure in it.

I have kept my feet from every evil pathto follow Your word.

נ NunYour word is a lamp for my feetand a light on my path.

The proud hide a trap with ropes for me;they spread a net along the pathand set snares for me.Selah

Although my spirit is weak within me,You know my way.Along this path I travelthey have hidden a trap for me.
