'Really' in the Bible
Now the serpent was the most cunning of all the wild animals that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You can’t eat from any tree in the garden’?”
So she called the Lord who spoke to her: The God Who Sees, for she said, “In this place, have I actually seen the One who sees me?”
But the Lord asked Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Can I really have a baby when I’m old?’
Abraham stepped forward and said, “Will You really sweep away the righteous with the wicked?
What if there are 50 righteous people in the city? Will You really sweep it away instead of sparing the place for the sake of the 50 righteous people who are in it?
Besides, she really is my sister, the daughter of my father though not the daughter of my mother, and she became my wife.
Abimelech sent for Isaac and said, “So she is really your wife! How could you say, ‘She is my sister’?”Isaac answered him, “Because I thought I might die on account of her.”
Then Isaac said to Jacob, “Please come closer so I can touch you, my son. Are you really my son Esau or not?”
Again he asked, “Are you really my son Esau?”And he replied, “I am.”

Do You really take notice of one like this?Will You bring me into judgment against You?
If you really want to appear superior to meand would use my disgrace as evidence against me,
Would you really challenge My justice?Would you declare Me guilty to justify yourself?
For the choir director: “Do Not Destroy.” A Davidic Miktam.Do you really speak righteously, you mighty ones?Do you judge people fairly?
Put no more trust in man,who has only the breath in his nostrils.What is he really worth?
Instead, if you really change your ways and your actions, if you act justly toward one another,

The wise will be put to shame;they will be dismayed and snared.They have rejected the word of the Lord,so what wisdom do they really have?

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word,you really are My disciples.
Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.
Do you really think—anyone of you who judges those who do such things yet do the same—that you will escape God’s judgment?
For it is written in the law of Moses, Do not muzzle an oxwhile it treads out grain. Is God really concerned with oxen?
Or isn’t He really saying it for us? Yes, this is written for us, because he who plows ought to plow in hope, and he who threshes should do so in hope of sharing the crop.
Therefore, when you come together, it is not really to eat the Lord’s Supper.
The secrets of his heart will be revealed, and as a result he will fall facedown and worship God, proclaiming, “God is really among you.”
Now from those recognized as important (what they really were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism)—they added nothing to me.
so that you can approve the things that are superior and can be pure and blameless in the day of Christ,
For who heard and rebelled? Wasn’t it really all who came out of Egypt under Moses?
Indeed, if you keep the royal law prescribed in the Scripture, Love your neighbor as yourself, you are doing well.
