Why dost thou hide thy face and forget our affliction and our oppression?

Why dost thou hide thy face, and hold me for thine enemy?

And hide not thy face from thy slave, for I am in trouble; hear me speedily.

LORD, why dost thou cast off my soul? why dost thou hide thy face from me?

For he looks unto the ends of the earth and sees under the whole heaven,

And she called the name of the LORD that spoke unto her, Thou God that is seen: for she said, Have I not also here seen the back of him that sees me?

For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he sees all his steps.

The LORD looked from heaven; he saw all the sons of Adam.

O LORD, thou hast searched me and known me. Thou knowest my sitting down and my rising up, thou dost understand my thoughts from afar. Thou hast girded my walk and my rest, and hast prepared all my ways.

Therefore, judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall each one have praise of God.

He detained the rivers in their source and caused that which was hid to be brought to light.

For, behold, the LORD comes out of his place to visit the iniquity of the inhabitant of the earth against himself: the earth also shall disclose her blood and shall no longer cover her slain.

Fear them not therefore, for there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, nor hid that shall not be known.

For there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed, neither hid that shall not be known.

the work of each one shall be made manifest, for the day shall declare it because it shall be revealed by fire; the work of each one, whatever sort it is, the fire shall put it to test.

And not as Moses, who put a veil over his face, that the sons of Israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that glory which was to fade away:

And it came to pass, as Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, while he came down from the mount, that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone after he had talked with him. And when Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come near him. And Moses called them, and Aaron and all the princes of the congregation returned unto him, and Moses talked with them.read more.
And afterward all the sons of Israel came near, and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in Mount Sinai. And when Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face. But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he would take the veil off until he came out. And as he came out, he would speak unto the sons of Israel that which he was commanded. And the sons of Israel would see the face of Moses that the skin of Moses' face shone, and Moses would put the veil upon his face again until he would go in to speak with him.

(And thus their senses became hardened, for until this day remains the same veil not uncovered in the reading of the old testament, which veil is taken away in Christ. But even unto this day when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart.

They did not know nor understand; for he has anointed their eyes that they not see and their hearts that they not understand.

Tau Give them sorrow of heart; thy curse unto them.

But the natural man does not perceive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

But if our gospel is hid, it is hid to those that are lost,

having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them because of the blindness of their heart,

but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God predestined before the ages unto our glory, which none of the princes of this age knew (for had they known it, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory). But as it is written, That which eye has not seen nor ear heard neither has entered into the heart of man is that which God has prepared for those that love him.read more.
But God has revealed this unto us by his Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

even the mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints,

Nor have men heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen a God beside thee, that thou might do it again for the one who waits in him.

Now to him that is able to confirm you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was concealed from times eternal but now is made manifest, and by the writings of the prophets, by the commandment of God eternal, declared unto all the Gentiles, that they might hear and obey by faith,

Nevertheless when they convert to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.) For the Lord is the Spirit, and where that Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Therefore we all, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord with uncovered face, are transformed from glory to glory into the same likeness, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he has purposed in himself,

how that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery (as I wrote above in a few words, by which, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of the Christ), which in other generations was not made known unto the sons of men as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit,read more.
that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body and partakers of his promise in the Christ by the gospel,

but is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who has annulled death, and has brought life and incorruption to light through the gospel,

for the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the times of the ages and has manifested in due times. It is his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

And many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth shall be awakened, some for eternal life, and some for shame and everlasting confusion. And those that understand shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and those that teach righteousness to the multitude as the stars in perpetual eternity. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end: many shall pass by, and knowledge shall be multiplied.

And he will undo in this mountain the mask of the covering with which all the peoples are covered and the veil that is extended over all the Gentiles. He will destroy death forever; and the Lord GOD shall wipe away every tear from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people he shall take away from off all the earth: for the LORD has determined it.

For the earnest hope of the creatures waits for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Beloved, now we are the sons of God, and it is not yet made manifest what we shall be; but we know that if he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
