'Really' in the Bible
When the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they were terrified and said, “This man really was God’s Son!”
But I tell you that Elijah really has come, and they did whatever they pleased to him, just as it is written about him.”
When the centurion, who was standing opposite Him, saw the way He breathed His last, he said, “This man really was God’s Son!”
When the centurion saw what happened, he began to glorify God, saying, “This man really was righteous!”
And they told the woman, “We no longer believe because of what you said, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this really is the Savior of the world.”
When the people saw the sign He had done, they said, “This really is the Prophet who was to come into the world!”
When some from the crowd heard these words, they said, “This really is the Prophet!”
So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, you really are My disciples.
Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.
Do you really think—anyone of you who judges those who do such things yet do the same—that you will escape God’s judgment?
For it is written in the law of Moses, Do not muzzle an ox while it treads out grain. Is God really concerned with oxen?
Or isn’t He really saying it for us? Yes, this is written for us, because he who plows ought to plow in hope, and he who threshes should do so in hope of sharing the crop.
Therefore, when you come together, it is not really to eat the Lord’s Supper.
The secrets of his heart will be revealed, and as a result he will fall facedown and worship God, proclaiming, “God is really among you.”
Now from those recognized as important (what they really were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism)—they added nothing to me.
so that you can approve the things that are superior and can be pure and blameless in the day of Christ,
For who heard and rebelled? Wasn’t it really all who came out of Egypt under Moses?
Indeed, if you keep the royal law prescribed in the Scripture, Love your neighbor as yourself, you are doing well.
