'Treated' in the Bible
"The man, the lord of the land, spoke harshly to us and treated us as [if we were] spying out the land.
And the Egyptians treated us badly, and they oppressed us and imposed on us hard labor.
So the sin of the young men was very great in the sight of Yahweh, because the men treated the offering of Yahweh with contempt.
(He had passed through all the tribes of Israel to Abel and Beth Maacah; now all of the Berites had been treated badly, so they also followed after him.)
