'City' in the Bible

And when they were come into the city, they went up to the upper chamber, where were staying both Peter, and John, and James, and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, and Simon the zealot, and Jude the brother of James.

For in truth against thy holy servant Jesus, whom thou hadst anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations, and peoples of Israel, have been gathered together in this city

and having cast him out of the city, they stoned him. And the witnesses laid aside their clothes at the feet of a young man called Saul.

And Philip, going down to a city of Samaria, preached the Christ to them;

And there was great joy in that city.

But a certain man, by name Simon, had been before in the city, using magic arts, and astonishing the nation of Samaria, saying that himself was some great one.

But rise up and enter into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

But in Athens, while Paul was waiting for them, his spirit was painfully excited in him seeing the city given up to idolatry.

because I am with thee, and no one shall set upon thee to injure thee; because I have much people in this city.

And the whole city was filled with confusion, and they rushed with one accord to the theatre, having seized and carried off with them Gaius and Aristarchus, Macedonians, fellow-travellers of Paul.

And the townclerk, having quieted the crowd, said, Ephesians, what man is there then who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple-keeper of Artemis the great, and of the image which fell down from heaven?

only that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city, saying that bonds and tribulations await me.

On the morrow therefore, Agrippa being come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and having entered into the hall of audience, with the chiliarchs and the men of distinction of the city, and Festus having given command, Paul was brought.

and coasting it with difficulty we came to a certain place called Fair Havens, near to which was the city of Lasaea.
