'Forever' in the Bible
Therefore David blessed Yahweh before all the assembly; and David said, "You are blessed, Yahweh, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever.
Yahweh, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this forever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of your people, and prepare their heart for you;
Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of Yahweh my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him incense of sweet spices, and for the continual show bread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the set feasts of Yahweh our God. For now have I chosen and made this house holy, that my name may be there forever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.

They spoke to him, saying, "If you are kind to this people, and please them, and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants forever."
