'Presence' in the Bible
Solomon also made all the articles that were in the house of God: the golden altar, and the tables for the bread of the Presence (showbread),
but I have chosen Jerusalem that My Name might be there, and I have chosen David to be over My people Israel.’
There I have placed the ark [the symbol of His Presence] in which is the covenant of the Lord [the Ten Commandments], which He made with the people (descendants) of Israel.”
Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of the entire assembly of Israel and spread out his hands.

They tore down the altars of the Baals in his presence; he cut to pieces the incense altars that were high above them; he also smashed the Asherim and the carved images and the cast images to pieces, and ground them to dust and scattered it on the graves of those who had sacrificed to them.
