'Sins' in the Bible
“Repent,” Peter said to them, “and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
God exalted this man to His right hand as ruler and Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
All the prophets testify about Him that through His name everyone who believes in Him will receive forgiveness of sins.”
Therefore, let it be known to you, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you,
And now, why delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name.’
to open their eyes so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that by faith in Me they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified.’
