And He said unto them, Ye justify yourselves before men, but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these shall be superadded unto you.

for the righteousness of God is therein revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."

Wherefore by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified before Him: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now, without the law, righteousness before God is manifested, being attested by the law and the prophets;
We, who are Jews by birth, and not sinners of the gentiles, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
For I tell you, that unless your righteousness exceed that of the scribes and pharisees, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Wherefore by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified before Him: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
I do not frustate the grace of God: for if righteousness be by the law, then Christ died in vain.
This only would I learn of you, Did ye receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so void of understanding? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
