That the proof of your faith, which is much more precious than of gold, (that perisheth, though tried by fire) may be found unto praise, and honor, and glory, when Jesus Christ shall be revealed:

Happy is the man who sustaineth temptation; for being approved he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him.

knowing this, that the trial of your faith worketh patience;

and regardeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and snatcheth away that which was sown in his heart: this is he who received the seed as by the way-side. And he who received the seed as upon stony grounds, is one that heareth the word and immediately receiveth it with joy: yet hath he no root in himself, and therefore is but for a short season; and when affliction cometh, or persecution on account of the word, he is as soon disgusted. read more.
And he that received the seed among the thorns, is one that likewise heareth the word; but the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches choketh the word, and so it becometh unfruitful.

And Jesus said to the centurion, Go, and be it unto thee as thou hast believed. And his servant was healed in that very hour.

And Jesus said unto them, because of your unbelief: for verily I tell you, if ye had but faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye might say to this mountain, Remove from hence thither, and it shall remove: and nothing would be impossible to you.

but Jesus answering said unto them, Verily I tell you, if ye have faith and doubt not, ye shall not only be able to do this to a fig-tree, but also if ye shall say to this mountain, "Be thou removed and cast into the sea," it shall be done.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

and by Him every one that believeth is justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

But now, without the law, righteousness before God is manifested, being attested by the law and the prophets; and this righteousness of God is by faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all believers; for there is no difference;

Therefore we conclude, that a man is justified by faith, without the works of the law:

knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

For to you it is granted as a favor from Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for his sake:

For by the grace conferred on me I charge every one among you, not to think of himself above what he ought to think: but to think with sobriety, according as God hath divided to every man the measure of faith.

For by grace ye are saved, through faith: and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not by works, that no one may boast:

Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and know that thou art the Messiah, the Son of the living God.

And when He had done speaking, He said to Simon, Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answered and said unto Him, Master, we have been toiling all the night, and have caught nothing; however at thy word I will cast the net.

that the blessing of Abraham might come on the gentiles by Christ Jesus; that we through faith might receive the promise of the Spirit.

In whom ye also trusted, when ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also when ye believed, ye were sealed with the holy Spirit of promise,

And when I began to speak, the holy Spirit fell on them, even as it did upon us at the beginning. Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the holy Spirit. so do, and acquaint them that the end of that charge is charity, out of a pure heart, and a good conscience, and faith unfeigned:

Verily, verily I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I perform he also shall perform, and greater than these shall he do: because I am going to the Father.

and behold, two blind men siting by the way-side, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. And the people rebuked them, that they might hold their peace: but they cried out the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. And Jesus stopt and called them, and said, What do ye desire me to do for you? read more.
They answered Him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. And Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes; and straightway their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.

And not being weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, being about an hundred years old; nor the deadness of Sarah's womb. And the father of the child immediately cried out and said with tears, Lord, I believe, help thou my unbelief. when Jesus saw the people flock together, He rebuked the impure spirit, and said to him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I command thee, Come out of him, and enter no more into him. And when he had rored and vehemently convulsed him, he came out of him: and the child was as one dead, so that many said, that he was dead. But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. And when He was come into the house, his disciples asked Him in private, Why could not we cast him out? And He said unto them, This kind cannot be cast out, but by prayer and fasting.

And when He was entered into the ship, his disciples followed Him: and behold a great tempest rose on the sea, so that the vessel was even covered by the waves; but He was asleep. And His disciples came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, Lord save us, for we are perishing: and He saith unto them, read more.

So they dismissed the multitude, and took Him as He was in the ship. But there were other small vessels likewise with Him. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now almost full. And He was in the stern asleep on a pillow: and they awake Him, and say unto Him, Master, art thou under no concern that we are perishing? read more.

And He said unto them, Where is your faith? But they were struck with awe and amazement, and said one to another, who is this? for He commandeth even the winds and the sea, and they obey Him. And they sailed to the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.

so faith, if it have not works, being alone, is dead.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

But desirest thou to know, O vain man, that faith without works, is dead?

chusing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to have the temporary enjoyment of sin: esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt, for he looked to the recompence of reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he continued firm as seeing Him who is invisible. read more.

We ought always to give thanks to God on your account, my brethren, as it is fit; because your faith increaseth greatly, and the love of every one of you towards each other aboundeth: so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God, for your patience and faith under all your persecutions and afflictions which ye endure.

He hesitated not at the promise of God through unbelief: but was strong in faith, giving glory to God,

whom God hath appointed to be a propitiation, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness, in the remission of past sins, according to the forbearance of God;

To Him do all the prophets bear witness, that whosoever believeth on Him shall receive the forgiveness of their sins through his name.

By faith Abraham when called to go out to a place which he was afterwards to receive for an inheritance obeyed: and went out, though he knew not whither he was going.

But Crispus the ruler of the synagogue believed on the Lord with all his house: and many of the Corinthians hearing the word believed, and were baptized.

Whether therefore I or they laboured most, thus we preach, and thus ye believed.

to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove yourselves: do ye not know yourselves to be such that Jesus Christ is in you? unless ye are reprovable.

And as ye abound in every other grace, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, that ye may abound in this grace also.

By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months by his parents, because they saw he was a fine child, and they were not afraid of the king's edict.
