That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it lifteth, and thou hearest the found thereof, but canst not tell, whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Jesus answered and said to him, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith to him, How can a man be born, when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

And if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead, will also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Not by works of righteousness which we had done, but according to his own mercy he saved us, by the laver of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Which he poured forth richly upon us, through Jesus Christ our Saviour, That, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs, according to the hope of eternal life.

But God who is rich in mercy, through his great love wherewith he loved us, Hath quickened us together with Christ, even when we were dead in trespasses, (by grace ye are saved) And hath raised us up together,

Know ye not, that as many of us have been baptized into Jesus Christ, have been baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death, that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Now if Christ be in you, the body indeed is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness.

For we are all baptized by one Spirit into one body, whether we are Jews or Gentiles, whether slaves or freemen; and we have all drank of one Spirit.

And you who were dead in trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him,

He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

But as many as received him, to them gave he privilege to become the sons of God, to them that believe in his name: Who were born, not of blood, nor by the will of the flesh, nor by the will of man, but of God.

Thus therefore pray ye, Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

For ye have not received the Spirit of bondage again unto fear, but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Of his own will begat he us by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. He that hath the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly, because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. He must increase, but I must decrease. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth: yet no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony, hath set to his seal, that God is true. For he whom God hath sent, speaketh the words of God; for God giveth not him the Spirit by measure. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son, hath everlasting life: but he that obeyeth not the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Verily, verily I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and cometh not into condemnation, but is passed from death to life.

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
