1 And king Solomon loved many strange women, and the daughter of Pharaoh, Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, Hittites;

2 From the nations which Jehovah said to the sons of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, and they shall not come in to you: surely they will turn your heart after their gods: to these Solomon joined to love.
2 from the nations concerning which the Lord had said to the sons of Israel, “(B)You shall not (a)associate with them, nor shall they (b)associate with you, for they will surely turn your heart away after their gods.” Solomon held fast to these in love.

11 And Jehovah will say to Solomon, Because this was with thee, and thou didst not watch my covenant and my laws which I commanded upon thee, rending, I will rend the kingdom from thee and give it to thy servant
11 So the Lord said to Solomon, “Because (f)you have done this, and you have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, (M)I will surely tear the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant.
11 Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.
11 Then the Lord said to Solomon, “Since you have done this(b) and did not keep My covenant and My statutes, which I commanded you, I will tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant.(P)
11 so the LORD told Solomon, "Because you have done this and haven't kept my covenant and statutes that I commanded you, I'm going to tear the kingdom from you and give it to your servant.
12 But in thy days I will not do it for sake of David thy father; out of the hand of thy son will I rend it
12 Nevertheless I will not do it in your days for the sake of your father David, but I will tear it out of the hand of your son.

13 Yet I will not tear the entire kingdom away from him. I will give one tribe to your son(R) because of my servant David and because of Jerusalem that I chose.”

14 And Jehovah will raise up an adversary to Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he from the king's seed in Edom.

15 And it will be in David's being in Edom, and in Joab the chief of the army going up, he came to bury the slain, and he will strike every male in Edom;

19 And Hadad will find favor in the eyes of Pharaoh greatly, and he will give to him a wife, sister of his wife, sister of Tahpenes the mistress.
19 Now Hadad found great favor (i)before Pharaoh, so that he gave him in marriage the sister of his own wife, the sister of Tahpenes the queen.

20 Tahpenes’ sister gave birth to Hadad’s son Genubath. Tahpenes herself weaned him in Pharaoh’s palace, and Genubath lived there along with Pharaoh’s sons.
20 Queen Tahpenes' sister bore him his son Genubath, whom Tahpenes weaned in Pharaoh's palace while Genubath lived in Pharaoh's palace with the Pharaoh's own sons.
21 And Hadad heard in Egypt that David lay down with his fathers, and that Joab chief of the army died, and Hadad will say to Pharaoh, Send me away, and I will go to my land.
21 But (T)when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers and that Joab the commander of the army was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, “Send me away, that I may go to my own country.”

22 And Pharaoh will say to him, For what lackest thou with me, and behold thee seeking to go to thy land? and he will say, Naught: but sending, thou shalt send me away.
22 Then Pharaoh said to him, “But what have you lacked with me, that behold, you are seeking to go to your own country?” And he answered, “Nothing; nevertheless you must surely (j)let me go.”
22 Then Pharaoh said unto him, But what hast thou lacked with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thine own country? And he answered, Nothing: howbeit let me go in any wise.
22 But Pharaoh asked him, “What do you lack here with me for you to want to go back to your own country?”“Nothing,” he replied, “but please let me leave.”

24 And he will gather to himself men, and he will be chief of a troop in David's killing them; and they will go to Damascus and dwell in it and reign in Damascus.

25 And he will be an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, and the evil which Hadad did: and he will abhor against Israel and he will reign over Aram.

26 And Jeroboam son of Nebat, an Ephrathite of Zereda, and his mother's name Zeruah, a widow woman, servant to Solomon, and he will lift up the hand against the king.

27 And this the word for which he lifted up the hand against the king: Solomon built the fortress and shut up the breaches of the city of David his father.

28 And the man Jeroboam mighty of strength: and Solomon will see the boy that he did work, and he will appoint him for the burden of the house of Joseph.
28 Now the man Jeroboam was a valiant warrior, and when (AA)Solomon saw that the young man was (o)industrious, he appointed him over all the (p)forced labor of the house of Joseph.
28 And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph.
28 Now the man Jeroboam was capable, and Solomon noticed the young man because he was getting things done. So he appointed him over the entire labor force of the house of Joseph.(AD)

29 And it will be in that time, and Jeroboam went forth from Jerusalem, and Ahijah the Shilonite will find him going in the way; and he being covered with a new garment; and they two alone in the field.
29 It came about at that time, when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that (AB)the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him on the road. Now (q)Ahijah had clothed himself with a new cloak; and both of them were alone in the field.

31 And he will say to Jeroboam, Take to thee ten rents: for thus said Jehovah God of Israel, Behold me rending the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and I gave to thee ten tribes:

32 (And the one tribe shall be to him, for sake of my servant David, and for sake of Jerusalem the city which I chose in it from all the tribes of Israel:)
32 ((AE)but he will have one tribe, for the sake of My servant David and for the sake of Jerusalem, (AF)the city which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel),
32 (But he shall have one tribe for my servant David's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:)
32 but one tribe will remain his because of my servant David(AG) and because of Jerusalem, the city I chose out of all the tribes of Israel.(AH)
32 "Pay attention! I'm going to tear the kingdom out of Solomon's control and give you ten tribes. I'll leave him one tribe for the sake of my servant David and one tribe for the sake of Jerusalem, the city that I chose from all of the tribes of Israel.
33 Because they forsook me and worshiped to Ashtaroth the god of Zidon, and to Chemosh, god of Moab, and to Milcom, god of the sons of Ammon, and they went not in my way to do the straight in mine eyes, and my laws and my judgments as David his father.
33 because they have forsaken Me, and (AG)have worshiped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, (AH)Chemosh the god of Moab, and Milcom the god of the sons of Ammon; and they have not walked in My ways, doing what is right in My sight and observing My statutes and My ordinances, as his father David did.

33 For they have abandoned Me; they have bowed the knee to Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians, to Chemosh, the god of Moab, and to Milcom, the god of the Ammonites.(AI) They have not walked in My ways to do what is right in My eyes and to carry out My statutes and My judgments as his father David did.(AJ)
33 I'm doing this because they have abandoned me and worshipped that Sidonian goddess Astarte, the Moabite god Chemosh, and the Ammonite god Milcom. They haven't lived my way by doing what I consider to be right and observing my statutes and my ordinances, like his father David did.
34 And I will not take all the kingdom from his hand, for I will set him chief all the days of his life for sake of David my servant whom I chose him. because he watched my commands and my laws.
34 Nevertheless I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand, but I will make him (r)ruler all the days of his life, for the sake of My servant David whom I chose, who observed My commandments and My statutes;
34 Howbeit I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant's sake, whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes:
34 “‘However, I will not take the whole kingdom from his hand but will let him be ruler all the days of his life because of My servant David, whom I chose and who kept My commands and My statutes.
34 "Nevertheless, I won't take the entire kingdom away from him, but I'll let him reign for the rest of his life, because of my servant David, whom I chose, who obeyed my commandments and statutes,
35 And I took the kingdom from the hand of his son and gave it to thee, the ten tribes.
35 But I will take the kingdom out of his son's hand, and will give it unto thee, even ten tribes.

37 And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign according to all which thy soul shall desire, and be king over Israel.
37 I will take you, and you shall reign over whatever (s)you desire, and you shall be king over Israel.
37 And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign according to all that thy soul desireth, and shalt be king over Israel.
37 I will appoint you,(AO) and you will reign as king(AP) over all you want,(AQ) and you will be king over Israel.
37 I'm going to take you and have you reign over whatever you desire. You will be king over Israel.
38 And being if thou shalt hear all that I shall command thee, and go in my way and do the straight in mine eyes to watch my laws and my commands as David my servant did, and I was with thee and built to thee a faithful house as I built to David, and I gave Israel to thee.
38 Then it will be, that if you listen to all that I command you and walk in My ways, and do what is right in My sight by observing My statutes and My commandments, as My servant David did, then (AM)I will be with you and (AN)build you an enduring house as I built for David, and I will give Israel to you.
38 And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.
38 “‘After that, if you obey all I command you, walk in My ways, and do what is right in My sight in order to keep My statutes and My commands as My servant David did, I will be with you.(AR) I will build you a lasting dynasty just as I built for David,(AS) and I will give you Israel.
38 If you listen to everything that I command you to do, and if you live your life my way, and if you do what I consider to be right by observing my statutes and my commandments, just like my servant David did, then I will be with you, I will build an enduring dynasty for you, just like I did for David, and I'll give Israel to you.
40 And Solomon will seek to kill Jeroboam, and Jeroboam will rise and flee to Egypt to Shishak, king of Egypt, and he will be in Egypt till the death of Solomon.
40 Solomon sought therefore to put Jeroboam to death; but Jeroboam arose and fled to Egypt to (AO)Shishak king of Egypt, and he was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
40 Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
40 Therefore, Solomon tried to kill Jeroboam,(AU) but he fled to Egypt,(AV) to Shishak king of Egypt,(AW) where he remained until Solomon’s death.
40 That's why Solomon tried to execute Jeroboam, but Jeroboam got up and fled to Egypt, where he lived as a guest of King Shishak and remained until Solomon had died.
41 And the remainder of the words of Solomon and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written upon the book of the words of Solomon?
41 (AP)Now the rest of the acts of Solomon and whatever he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?
41 And the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?
41 The rest of the events of Solomon’s reign, along with all his accomplishments and his wisdom, are written in the Book of Solomon’s Events.(AX)
41 Now the rest of Solomon's accomplishments, including everything else he did, as well as records of his wisdom, are recorded in the Book of the Acts of Solomon, are they not?
43 And Solomon will lie down with his fathers and be buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son will reign instead of him.
43 And Solomon (AR)slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of his father David, and his son (AS)Rehoboam reigned in his place.
43 And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
43 Solomon rested with his fathers and was buried in the city of his father David. His son Rehoboam(AZ) became king in his place.(BA)
43 Then Solomon died, as had his ancestors, and he was buried in the city of his father David. His son Rehoboam reigned in his place.
