Context Readings

Yahweh's Plan To Rescue The Israelites

1 One day Moses was taking care of the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock across the desert to Sinai, the holy mountain. 2 The angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed. 3 This is strange, he thought. Why is the bush not burning up? I will go closer and see.
