Jesus Predicts His Return To The Disciples

¹⁹ Jesus perceived what they wanted to ask him. He said to them: You inquire among yourselves concerning what I said. A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me? ²⁰ Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy. ²¹ A woman in tribulation has sorrow, because her hour to give birth has come. When she delivers the child, she remembers no more anguish, because of the joy that a man is born into the world.
