2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
2 “(A)The kingdom of heaven (a)may be compared to (b)a king who (c)gave a (B)wedding feast for his son.
2 "The kingdom from heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son.
3 And sent his servants, to call the invited into the marriage-feast, - and they would not come.
3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
3 And he (C)sent out his slaves to call those who had been invited to the wedding feast, and they were unwilling to come.
3 He sent his servants to call those who had been invited to the wedding, but they refused to come.
4 Again, sent he other servants, saying - Say to the invited, Lo! my dinner, have I prepared, mine oxen and my fatlings, are slain, - and, all things, are, ready: Come ye into the marriage-feast.
4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
4 Again he (D)sent out other slaves saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fattened livestock are all butchered and everything is ready; come to the wedding feast.”’
4 Again, he sent out other slaves, and said, ‘Tell those who are invited: Look, I’ve prepared my dinner; my oxen and fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’(D)
4 So he sent other servants after saying, "Tell those who have been invited, "Look! I've prepared my dinner. My oxen and fattened calves have been slaughtered. Everything is ready. Come to the wedding!"'
5 And, they, slighting it, went off, one, indeed, into his own field, and, another, unto his merchandise, -
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
5 “But they paid no attention and went away, one to his own farm, another to his business.

6 And, the rest, securing his servants, ill-treated and slew them.
6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
6 and the rest seized his slaves and mistreated them and killed them.
6 And the others seized his slaves, treated them outrageously and killed them.
6 The rest grabbed the king's servants, treated them brutally, and then killed them.
7 And, the king, was provoked to anger, - and, sending his armies, destroyed those murderers, and, their city, set on fire.
7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
7 But the king was enraged, and he sent his armies and destroyed those murderers and set their city on fire.
7 The king(a) was enraged, so he sent out his troops, destroyed those murderers, and burned down their city.
7 Then the king became outraged. He sent his troops, and they destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Then, saith he unto his servants - The marriage, indeed, is ready, - but, the invited, were not, worthy;
8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
8 Then he *said to his slaves, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
8 "Then he told his servants, "The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
9 Be going, therefore, into the crossways of the roads, and, as many as ye shall find, call ye into the marriage-feast.
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
9 Go therefore to (E)the main highways, and as many as you find there, invite to the wedding feast.’
9 So go into the roads leading out of town and invite as many people as you can find to the wedding.'
10 And those servants, going forth, into the roads, gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good, - and filled was the bride-chamber with guests.
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
10 Those slaves went out into the streets and gathered together all they found, both evil and good; and the wedding hall was filled with (e)dinner guests.
10 So those slaves went out on the roads and gathered everyone they found, both evil and good. The wedding banquet was filled with guests.(b)
10 Those servants went out into the streets and brought in everyone they found, evil and good alike, and the wedding hall was packed with guests.
11 But the king, entering to view the guests, saw there a man, who had not put on a wedding-garment, -
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
11 “But when the king came in to look over the dinner guests, he saw (F)a man there who was not dressed in wedding clothes,
11 But when the king came in to view the guests, he saw a man there who was not dressed for a wedding.(G)
11 "When the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes.
12 And saith unto him - Friend! how camest thou in here, not having a wedding-garment? And, he, was put to silence.
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
12 and he *said to him, ‘(G)Friend, how did you come in here without wedding clothes?’ And the man was speechless.
12 So he said to him, ‘Friend,(H) how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ The man was speechless.
12 He asked him, "Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?' But the man was speechless.
13 Then, the king said unto the ministers, Binding him feet and hands, cast him forth into the darkness, outside: There, shall be wafting and gnashing of teeth.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into (H)the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
13 “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him up hand and foot,(c) and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
13 Then the king told his servants, "Tie his hands and feet, and throw him into the darkness outside!' In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth,

A Question About Marriage And The Resurrection
23 On that day, there came unto him Sadducees, who say, there is, no resurrection - and they questioned him,
23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,
23 (R)On that day some (S)Sadducees (who say (T)there is no resurrection) came to Jesus and questioned Him,
23 The same day some Sadducees,(O) who say there is no resurrection, came up to Him and questioned Him:(P)
23 That same day some Sadducees, who claim there is no resurrection, came to Jesus and asked him,
24 saying - Teacher! Moses, said, If any man die not having children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
24 asking, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘(U)If a man dies having no children, his brother as next of kin shall marry his wife, and raise up children for his brother.’
24 “Teacher, Moses said, if a man dies, having no children, his brother is to marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.(Q)(f)
24 "Teacher, Moses said, "If a man dies having no children, his brother must marry the widow and have children for his brother.'
25 Now there were, with us, seven brethren; and, the first, marrying, died, and not having seed, left his wife unto his brother.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
25 Now there were seven brothers with us; and the first married and died, and having no children left his wife to his brother;
25 Now there were seven brothers among us. The first got married and died. Having no offspring, he left his wife to his brother.
25 Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his widow to his brother.
28 In the resurrection, therefore, - Of which of the seven, shall she be wife? For, all, had her.
28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
28 In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had married her.”
28 In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had married her.”(h)
28 Now in the resurrection, whose wife of the seven will she be, since all of them had married her?"
29 And Jesus answering, said - Ye are deceiving yourselves, knowing neither the Scriptures, nor yet the power of God.
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
29 But Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, (V)not (m)understanding the Scriptures nor the power of God.
29 Jesus answered them, “You are deceived, because you don’t know the Scriptures or the power of God.
29 Jesus answered them, "You are mistaken because you don't know the Scriptures or God's power,
30 For, in the resurrection, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but, as messengers in the heaven, are they.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
30 For in the resurrection they neither (W)marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like(i) angels in heaven.(R)
30 because in the resurrection, people neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven.
31 But, as touching the resurrection of the dead - Have ye not read what was spoken unto you by God, saying -
31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,
31 But regarding the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God:
31 Now concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read what was spoken to you by God:
31 As for the resurrection from the dead, haven't you read what was spoken to you by God when he said,
32 I, am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? - He is not God, of the dead, but, of the living.
32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
32 ‘(X)I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.”
32 I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob?(S)(j) He(k) is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”
32 "I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
