And the king of Assyria sent the chief of the cupbearers from Lachish to Jerusalem, to King Hezekiah with a great army. And he stood by the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the Fuller's Field.
Hanun, and the people of Zanoah, repaired the Valley Gate. They built it, and set up its doors, its locks, and its bars, and a thousand cubits on the wall to the Dung Gate.
And Hezekiah himself stopped the upper water courses of Gihon, and brought it straight down to the west side of the city of David. And Hezekiah was blessed in all his works.
And I went out by night by the Valley Gate, even before the Jackal Fountain, and to the Dung Gate, and looked at the walls of Jerusalem which were broken down, and its gates which were burned with fire. And I went on to the Fountain Gate, and to the King's Pool. But there was no place for the animal that was under me to pass. And I went up in the night by the brook and looked at the wall, and turned back, and entered by the Valley Gate, and returned.

He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor throw up a bank against it.
