1 Be my saviour, O God; because the waters have come in, even to my neck.
1 For the choir director; according to (a)Shoshannim. A Psalm of David.Save me, O God,For the (A)waters have (b)threatened my life.
1 {To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, A Psalm of David.} Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul.
1 For the choir director: according to “The Lilies.”(a) Davidic.Save me, God,for the water has risen to my neck.(A)
1 Deliver me, God, because the waters are up to my neck.
2 My feet are deep in the soft earth, where there is no support; I have come into deep waters, the waves are flowing over me.
2 I have sunk in deep (B)mire, and there is no foothold;I have come into deep waters, and a (c)(C)flood overflows me.
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
2 I have sunk in deep mud, and there is no footing;I have come into deep waters, and a flood sweeps over me.(B)
2 I am sinking in deep mire, and there is no solid ground. I have come into deep water, and the flood overwhelms me.
4 Those who have hate for me without cause are greater in number than the hairs of my head; those who are against me, falsely desiring my destruction, are very strong; I gave back what I had not taken away.
4 Those (F)who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; Those who would (d)destroy me (G)are powerful, being wrongfully my enemies;(H)What I did not steal, I then have to restore.
4 They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.
4 Those who hate me without causeare more numerous than the hairs of my head;my deceitful enemies, who would destroy me,are powerful.(D)Though I did not steal, I must repay.(E)
4 Those who hate me without cause are more than the hairs of my head. My persecutors are mighty, and they want to destroy me. Must I be forced to return what I did not steal?
6 Let not those who have hope in you be put to shame because of me, O Lord God of armies: let not those who are waiting for you be made low because of me, O God of Israel.
6 May those who wait for You not (K)be ashamed through me, O Lord (e)God of hosts;May those who seek You not be dishonored through me, O God of Israel,
6 Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.
6 Do not let those who put their hope in Yoube disgraced because of me,Lord God of Hosts;do not let those who seek Yoube humiliated because of me,God of Israel.(G)
6 Do not let those who look up to you be ashamed because of me, Lord God of the Heavenly Armies. Let not those who seek you be humiliated because of me, God of Israel.
9 I am on fire with passion for your house; and the hard things which are said about you have come on me.
9 For (O)zeal for Your house has consumed me,And (P)the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.
9 For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
9 because zeal for Your house has consumed me,(J)and the insults of those who insult Youhave fallen on me.(K)
9 Zeal for your house consumes me, and the mockeries of those who insult you fall on me.
13 But as for me, let my prayer be made to you, O Lord, at a time when you are pleased; O God, give me an answer in your great mercy, for your salvation is certain.
13 But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord, (V)at an acceptable time;O God, in the (W)greatness of Your lovingkindness,Answer me with (h)Your saving truth.
13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
13 But as for me, Lord,my prayer to You is for a time of favor. In Your abundant, faithful love, God,answer me with Your sure salvation.(N)
13 As for me, LORD, may my prayer to you come at a favorable time. God, in the abundance of your gracious love, answer me with your sure deliverance.
14 Take me from the grip of the sticky earth, so that I may not go down into it; let me be lifted up from the deep waters.
14 Deliver me from the (X)mire and do not let me sink;May I be (Y)delivered from (i)my foes and from the (j)(Z)deep waters.
14 Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
14 Rescue me from the miry mud; don’t let me sink.Let me be rescued from those who hate meand from the deep waters.(O)
14 Rescue me from the mud and do not let me sink. Rescue me from those who hate me, and from the deep waters.
15 Let me not be covered by the flowing waters; let not the deep waters go over my head, and let me not be shut up in the underworld.
15 May the (k)(AA)flood of water not overflow meNor the deep swallow me up,Nor the (AB)pit shut its mouth on me.
15 Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.
15 Don’t let the floodwaters sweep over meor the deep swallow me up;don’t let the Pit close its mouth over me.(P)
15 Let neither the floodwaters overwhelm me nor let the deep swallow me up, nor the mouth of the well close over me.
16 Give an answer to my words, O Lord; for your mercy is good: be turned to me, because of your great pity.
16 Answer me, O Lord, for (AC)Your lovingkindness is good;(AD)According to the greatness of Your compassion, (AE)turn to me,
16 Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.
16 Answer me, Lord, for Your faithful love is good;in keeping with Your great compassion, turn to me.(Q)
16 Answer me, LORD, for your gracious love is good; Turn to me in keeping with your great compassion,
20 My heart is broken by bitter words, I am full of grief; I made a search for some to have pity on me, but there was no one; I had no comforter.
20 Reproach has (AK)broken my heart and I am so sick. And (AL)I looked for sympathy, but there was none,And for (AM)comforters, but I found none.
20 Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
20 Insults have broken my heart, and I am in despair.I waited for sympathy, but there was none;for comforters, but found no one.(U)
20 Insults broke my heart. I despaired and looked for sympathy; but there was none, for comforters, but I found none.
22 Let their table before them be for their destruction; let their feasts become a net to take them.
22 May (AP)their table before them become a snare; And (o)(AQ)when they are in peace, may it become a trap.
22 Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.
22 May their dining tables entrap them, and become a snare for their allies.
26 Because they are cruel to him against whom your hand is turned; they make bitter the grief of him who is wounded by you.
26 For they have (AV)persecuted him whom (AW)You Yourself have smitten,And they tell of the pain of those whom (AX)You have (q)wounded.
26 For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.
26 For they persecute those whom you have struck, and they brag about the pain of those you have wounded.
28 Let their names be taken from the book of the living, let them not be numbered with the upright.
28 May they be (BB)blotted out of the (BC)book of lifeAnd may they not be (r)(BD)recorded with the righteous.
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
28 May they be erased from the Book of Life, and their names not be written with the righteous.

36 The seed of his servants will have their part in it, and there the lovers of his name will have rest.
36 The (v)(BT)descendants of His servants will inherit it,And those who love His name (BU)will dwell in it.
36 The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.
36 The descendants of his servants will inherit it, and those who cherish his name will live there. To the Music director. Davidic. As a memorial.
