Greeting

² which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures ³ regarding his Son. He was a descendant of David with respect to his humanity ⁴ and was declared by the resurrection from the dead to be the powerful Son of God according to the spirit of holiness Jesus the Messiah, our Lord.

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Messiah has been born from God, and everyone who loves the parent also loves the child.

Who overcomes the world? Is it not the person who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 John 5:10-13

The person who believes in the Son of God believes this testimony personally. The person who does not believe God has made him a liar by not believing the testimony that he has given about his Son.

1 John 5:20

We also know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the true God. We are in union with the one who is true, his Son Jesus the Messiah, who is the true God and eternal life.

2 John 1:7

For many deceivers have gone out into the world. They refuse to acknowledge Jesus the Messiah as having become human. Any such person is a deceiver and an antichrist.
