'But I Say to You' in the Bible
But I say to you that every one who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever says to his brother Raca shall be in danger of the high-council; and whosoever shall say, O foolish one! shall be in danger of the Hell of fire.
but I say to you, that every one who looks upon a woman, to lust after her, already committed adultery with her in his heart.
but I say to you, that every one who puts away his wife, except on account of fornication, makes her commit adultery: and whosoever marries her when put away commits adultery.
but I say to you, Swear not at all; neither by Heaven, because it is God's throne;
but I say to you, Resist not the evil man; but whosoever smites you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also;
but I say to you, Love your enemies; and pray for those who persecute you;
but I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as one of these.
But I say to you, a greater than the temple is here.
but I say to you that Elijah already came, and they recognized him not, but did with him whatsoever they wished: so also the Son of Man is about to suffer by them."
