Then He saith to His disciples, "The harvest, indeed, is abundant, but the laborers few;
And Jesus was going about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every infirmity.
And Jesus, passing on thence, saw a man, called Matthew, sitting at the tax-office, and He saith to him, "Follow Me." And, rising up, he followed Him.
And, seeing the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and scattered, as sheep having no shepherd.
And the Pharisees, seeing it, said to His disciples, Why is your Teacher eating with the tax-collectors and sinners?"
But, going, learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice;' for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
And it came to pass, as He was reclining at table in the house, behold, many tax-collectors and sinners, having come, were reclining with Jesus and His disciples.
While He is speaking these things to them, behold, a ruler, having come to Him, was worshiping Him, saying, "My daughter just now died; but, coming, lay Thy hand upon her, and she shall live."
"Neither do they put new wine into old wine-skins; otherwise, indeed, the skins burst, and the wine runs out, and the skins are destroyed; but they put new wine into fresh wine-skins, and both are preserved together."
Jesus said to them, "Can the sons of the bridechamber mourn while the Bridegroom is with them! But there will come days, when the Bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then will they fast."
"And no one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch tears away from the garment, and a worse rent is made."
for she was saying within herself, "If I only touch His garment, I shall be made well."
But, when the multitude was put forth, having gone in, He took hold of her hand, and the damsel arose.
And Jesus, having come into the house of the ruler, and seeing the flute-players and the multitude making a tumult,
And the blind men came to Him, when He entered into the house; and He saith to them, "Believe ye that I am able to do this?" They say to Him, "Yes, Lord."
said, "Withdraw; for the damsel did not die, but is sleeping." And they were laughing at Him.
"But, that ye may know that the Son of Man hath authority on the earth to forgive sins" (then saith He to the paralytic), "Arise, and take up your bed, and go to your house."
And, behold, some of the scribes said among themselves, "This Man is blaspheming! "
and, seeing it, the multitudes feared, and glorified God, Who gave such authority to men.
For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Arise, and walk.'
And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly charged them, saying, "See that no one know it."
And, behold, they were bringing to Him a paralytic laid upon a couch. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, "Child, be of good courage; your sins are forgiven."
And Jesus, hearing it, said, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are ill.
And, as Jesus was passing on thence, two blind men followed Him, crying out, and saying, "Have mercy on us, O Son of David!"
Then came to Him the disciples of John, saying, "Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but Thy disciples fast not?"
And, behold, a woman, having a flow of blood twelve years, having come up behind Him, touched the border of His garment;
And, as they were going forth, behold, they have brought to Him a dumb man, a demoniac;
And Jesus, turning and seeing her, said, "Be of good courage, daughter, your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.
pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that He send forth laborers into His harvest.
But the Pharisees said, "By the ruler of the demons He is casting out the demons."
and, the demon having been cast oat, the dumb spake. And the multitudes wondered, saying, "Never was it so seen in Israel!"
