And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan, as far as Salcah:

And, Mikloth, begat Shimeah, - moreover also, they, over against their brethren, did dwell in Jerusalem, with their own brethren.

And, Mikloth, begat Shimeam - and, they also, over against their brethren, did dwell in Jerusalem, along with their brethren.

So David, asked again, of God, and God said to him, Thou shalt not go up after them, - get thee round, away from them, so shalt thou come in upon them, over against the mulberry-trees;

These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the priests and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren.

And they cause to fall lots -- charge over-against charge, as well the small as the great, the intelligent with the learner.

According to these are the courses of the gatekeepers; to the heads of the mighty ones are charges over-against their brethren, to minister in the house of Jehovah,

To Shuppim and to Hosah to the west, with the gate of Shallecheth, by the highway of the going up, watch over against watch.

David asked God, "Should I march up against the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?" The Lord said to him, "March up! I will hand them over to you!"

So David received them and assigned them to be officers over troops. Some of the descendants of Manasseh joined David when he was going to fight against Saul, accompanied by the Philistines. Even so, David was of no help to them, because the Philistine rulers were counseled to send him away. They told themselves, "He's going to go over to his master Saul at the cost of our heads."

And it was told David; and he gathered all Israel, and passed over the Jordan, and came upon them, and set the battle in array against them. And David put the battle in array against the Syrians, and they fought with him.

Thus died Saul, for his unfaithfulness wherewith he dealt unfaithfully against Yahweh, over the word of Yahweh, which he kept not, - and, also, in asking by necromancy when he desired to enquire;

And, when the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek to secure David, - and David, hearing, went out against them.

They received help against these enemies because they cried out to God in battle, and the Hagrites and all their allies were handed over to them. He granted their request because they trusted in Him.

From the time when I put judges over my people Israel; and I will overcome all those who are against you; and I will make you great and the head of a line of kings.

Part of them also were appointed over the vessels, and over all the holy instruments, and over the fine flour, and the wine, and the oil, and the frankincense, and the spices.

with all his reign, and his might, - and the times which passed over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the lands.

For their place was by the side of the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of Jehovah, over the courts, and over the chambers, and over the purifying of all holy things, and for the work of the service of the house of God;

And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that ministered to the king by course, and the captains over the thousands, and captains over the hundreds, and the stewards over all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the officers, and with the mighty men, and with all the valiant men, unto Jerusalem.
