When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter,
“Yes, Lord,” he said to Him, “You know that I love You.”
So, Andrew brought Simon Peter to Jesus. [And when] Jesus saw him, He said [to him], "You are Simon, the son of John [Note: Peter's father is called Jonah in Matt. 16:17]; you will be called Cephas (which means Peter [i.e., "a stone." See Matt. 16:18])."
Now Philip was from Bethsaida, Andrew's and Peter's home town. [Note: This town was on the northwest shore of Lake Galilee, a few miles from Capernaum].
Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard John's exclamation and followed Jesus.

and Peter was standing at the door without, therefore went forth the other disciple who was known to the chief priest, and he spake to the female keeping the door, and he brought in Peter.
then coming to Simon Peter, Peter said to him, Lord, what! would you wash my feet?
He said this to point out the sort of death by which Peter was to glorify God. So after He had said this, He said to Peter, "Keep on following me!"
Now Simon Peter had been standing and warming himself [by the outdoor charcoal fire]. So, someone asked him, "Are you not one of His disciples, too?" Peter denied it, saying, "[No], I am not."
One of the high priest’s slaves, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, said, “Didn’t I see you with Him in the garden?”
So Peter turned around and saw the disciple Jesus loved
Meanwhile, Simon Peter
Now the [head priest's] slaves and the [Temple] guards were standing around a charcoal fire they had made to warm themselves by, because it was cold. And Peter was also warming himself with them.
So the rumor spread among the brothers that this disciple wasn't going to die. Yet Jesus didn't say to Peter that he wasn't going to die, but, "If it's my will for him to remain until I come back, how does that concern you?"
(The slave's name was Malchus.) Then Jesus said to Peter. "Put up your sword in its sheath. the cup which my Father has given me, shall I not drink it?"
Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
again, therefore, Peter denied, and immediately a cock crew.
she runneth, therefore, and cometh unto Simon Peter, and unto the other disciple whom Jesus was loving, and saith to them, 'They took away the Lord out of the tomb, and we have not known where they laid him.'
Peter, therefore, went forth, and the other disciple, and they were coming to the tomb,
and the two were running together, and the other disciple did run forward more quickly than Peter, and came first to the tomb,
Simon Peter, therefore, cometh, following him, and he entered into the tomb, and beholdeth the linen clothes lying,
“I’m going fishing,” Simon Peter said to them.
“We’re coming with you,” they told him. They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.
So Simon Peter got up and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish—153 of them. Even though there were so many, the net was not torn.
He asked him the third time,
Peter was grieved
When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord—what about him?”
Peter said to him, you shall never wash my feet. Jesus answered, if I do not cleanse thee, you cannot partake with me.
Simon Peter said to him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, to ask who it was he meant.
Simon Peter said to him, Lord, where are you going? Jesus answered him, you cannot at present follow me, where I am going; but hereafter you shall.
Peter said to him, Lord, why can't I follow you now? I will lay down my life for your sake.
