Abraham begat Isaac, and Isaac begat Jacob, and Jacob, begat Judah and his brethren;

And Judah begat Perez and Zarah of Tamah, and Perez begat Hezron, and Hezron begat Ram;

And, thou, Bethlehem, land of Judah, by no means least, art thou, among the governors of Judah, - For, out of thee, shall one come forth to govern, Who shall shepherd my people Israel.

And Mary, arising, in these days, journeyed into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah, -

of Amminadab, of Arni, of Hezron, - of Perez, of Judah:
