And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be Jehovah, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept back his servant from evil: and the evil-doing of Nabal hath Jehovah returned upon his own head. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: Fret not thyself, it tendeth only to evil-doing.

The wicked is thrust down in his evil-doing; But the righteous hath a refuge in his death.

All this have I seen in my days of vanity: there is a righteous man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth his life in his evil-doing.

And all men shall fear; And they shall declare the work of God, And shall wisely consider of his doing.

Come, and see the works of God; He is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

This is Jehovah's doing; It is marvellous in our eyes.

Jehovah will send upon thee cursing, discomfiture, and rebuke, in all that thou puttest thy hand unto to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the evil of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
