Isaiah said this because he saw his glory and spoke of him.
Then Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me.
Then he came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to him, "Lord, are you going to wash my feet?"
Peter said to him, "You shall never wash my feet." Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with me."
Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!"
Jesus said to him, "He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not every one of you."
For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, "You are not all clean."
When he had washed their feet, and taken his garments, and returned to his place, he said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you?
When Jesus had said this, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, "Truly, truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me."
Simon Peter motioned to him and said, "Ask who it is of whom he speaks."
Then, leaning back on the breast of Jesus, he said to him, "Lord, who is it?"
Then after the bread, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, "What you are going to do, do quickly."
But no one at the table knew why he said this to him.
When he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now is the Son of Man glorified, and in him God is glorified.
Little children, I shall be with you a little while longer. You will seek me; and as I said to the Jews, 'Where I am going, you cannot come,' so now I say to you.
Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, where are you going?" Jesus answered, "Where I am going you cannot follow me now; but you shall follow afterward."
Peter said to him, "Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you."
Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going, and how can we know the way?"
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us."
Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you do not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, "Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?"
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

All that the Father has is mine. Therefore I said that he will take of what is mine and declare it to you.
Then some of his disciples said to one another, "What is this that he says to us, 'A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me'; and, 'because I go to the Father'?"
They said, "What does he mean by 'a little while'? We do not know what he is saying."
Now Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, "Are you asking yourselves about what I meant when I said, 'A little while, and you will not see me; and again a little while, and you will see me'?
"I have said this to you in figurative language; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures, but I will tell you plainly about the Father.
His disciples said, "See, now you are speaking plainly, and not using a figure of speech!
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage! I have overcome the world."
When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son also may glorify you,
Then Jesus, knowing all that was to come upon him, went forward and said to them, "Whom do you seek?"
They answered him, "Jesus of Nazareth." Jesus said to them, "I am he." And Judas, who betrayed him, was standing with them.
When he said to them, "I am he," they drew back and fell to the ground.
Again he asked them, "Whom do you seek?" And they said, "Jesus of Nazareth."
Jesus said to Peter, "Put your sword into its sheath; shall I not drink the cup which the Father has given me?"
Then the girl who kept the door said to Peter, "You are not also one of this man's disciples, are you?" He said, "I am not."
Jesus answered him, "I have spoken openly to the world. I always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all the Jews come together, and I have said nothing in secret.
Why do you ask me? Ask those who have heard me what I said to them. They know what I said."
And when he had said this, one of the officers standing by struck Jesus with his hand, saying, "Is that the way you answer the high priest?"
Now Simon Peter stood warming himself. Therefore they said to him, "You are not also one of his disciples, are you?" He denied it and said, "I am not."
One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of him whose ear Peter had cut off, said, "Did I not see you in the garden with him?"
So Pilate went out to them and said, "What accusation do you bring against this man?"
Pilate said to them, "Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law." The Jews said to him, "It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death."
Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to him, "Are you the King of the Jews?"
Pilate said to him, "You are a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say what I ama king. For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice."
Pilate said to him, "What is truth?" After he had said this, he went out to the Jews again, and told them, "I find no crime in him.
Pilate went out again, and said to them, "See, I am bringing him out to you, that you may know that I find no crime in him."
So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, "Behold the man!"
When the chief priests and officers saw him, they cried out, "Crucify him, crucify him!" Pilate said to them, "You take him and crucify him, for I find no fault in him."
and he went again into the Praetorium and said to Jesus, "Where are you from?" But Jesus gave him no answer.
Pilate said to him, "You will not speak to me? Do you not know that I have power to release you, and power to crucify you?"
Now it was the day of Preparation of the Passover, about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, "Behold your King!"
But they cried out, "Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him!" Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your King?" The chief priests answered, "We have no King but Caesar."

So they said to one another, "Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be." This happened that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: "They divided my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots." This is what the soldiers did.
When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing by, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold your son!"
Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.
After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst."

They said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him."
Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?" Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away."
Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to him in Hebrew, "Rabboni!" (which means, Teacher).
Jesus said to her, "Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, "I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"
Mary Magdalene went and said to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord!" And she told them that he had said these things to her.
On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you."

Eight days later, his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. The doors were shut, but Jesus came and stood among them, and said, "Peace be with you!"
Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and see my hands. Reach out your hand, and put it into my side; do not be unbelieving, but believing."
Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We will go with you." They went out and got into the boat; but that night they caught nothing.
Jesus said to them, "Children, have you any fish?" They answered him, "No."
He said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." So they cast, and now they were not able to haul it in because of the great number of fish.
Then that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and threw himself into the sea.
Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish you have just caught."
Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." Now none of the disciples dared ask him, "Who are you?" They knew it was the Lord.
When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep."
He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, "Do you love me?" And he said to him, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep.
This he said to show by what death he would glorify God. And after this he said to him, "Follow me."
Peter turned and saw following them the disciple whom Jesus loved, who had leaned on his breast at the supper and had said, "Lord, who is the one who is going to betray you?"
