But I tell you that every worthless word that they speak, people will give an account for it on the day of judgment! Verse Concepts

"For this [reason] the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man--a king--who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves. Verse Concepts

For this [reason], behold, I am sending to you prophets and wise men and scribes. [Some] of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will flog in your synagogues and will pursue from town to town, Verse Concepts

And it happened that when he returned [after] receiving the kingdom, he ordered these slaves to whom he had given the money to be summoned to him, so that he could know what they had gained by trading. Verse Concepts

So each one of us will give an account concerning himself. Verse Concepts

with respect to which they are surprised [when] you do not run with [them] into the same flood of dissipation, [and so they] revile [you]. They will give an account to the one who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
