Coming of the lord jesus Christ » Who shall be resurrected when the lord comes
But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, about those who are asleep, so that ye may not grieve, as also the others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and arose, so also those who became asleep through Jesus, God will bring with him. For this we say to you in the word of Lord, that we who are alive, who remain for the coming of the Lord, will no, not precede those who became asleep. read more.
Because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with a voice of the arch-agent, and with a trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up simultaneously with them in clouds to the Lord's gathering in the air. And so we will always be with Lord. Therefore encourage each other with these words.

Resurrection » The resurrected
And Sadducees come to him, who say there is no resurrection. And they questioned him, saying, Teacher, Moses wrote to us, If a man's brother dies, and leaves behind a wife, and leaves no child, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed for his brother. There were seven brothers. And the first took a wife, and dying left no seed. read more.
And the second took her, and died, neither did he leave seed behind, and the third likewise. And the seven took her, and left no seed. Last of all the woman also died. In the resurrection when they rise, whose wife will she be of them? For the seven had her as wife. And having answered, Jesus said to them, Are ye not led astray because of this: not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God? For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as agents in the heavens. But about the dead, that they rise, have ye not read in the book of Moses, how God spoke to him at the bush, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but God of the living. Ye therefore are much misled.
And the second took her, and died, neither did he leave seed behind, and the third likewise. And the seven took her, and left no seed. Last of all the woman also died. In the resurrection when they rise, whose wife will she be of them? For the seven had her as wife. On that day Sadducees came to him, those who claim to be no resurrection. And they questioned him, saying, Teacher, Moses said, If some man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed to his brother. Now there were with us seven brothers. And the first having married perished. And having no seed left his wife to his brother. read more.
Likewise also the second, and the third, until the seventh. And last of all, the woman also died. In the resurrection therefore, which of the seven will she be wife? For they all had her. But having answered, Jesus said to them, Ye are led astray, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as agents of God in heaven. But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? And some of the Sadducees having approached, those who say there is no resurrection, they questioned him, saying, Teacher, Moses wrote to us, if any brother dies, having a wife, and this man dies childless, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed to his brother. There were therefore seven brothers. And the first having taken a wife, died childless. read more.
And the second took the woman, and this man died childless. And the third likewise took her, and likewise also the seven; they left behind no children, and died. And last of all the woman also died. In the resurrection therefore whose wife of them does she become? For the seven had her as wife. And having answered, Jesus said to them, The sons of this age marry, and are given in marriage, but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. For neither can they die any more, for they are like the heavenly agents, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the Bush when he calls Lord, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for all live to him.
And the second took the woman, and this man died childless. And the third likewise took her, and likewise also the seven; they left behind no children, and died. And last of all the woman also died.
