"Thus has the LORD of hosts spoken, saying, 'Execute true judgment, and show kindness and compassion every man to his brother.


These are the things that you shall do: speak every man the truth with his neighbor. Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates,

Now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

Take good heed therefore to yourselves, that you love the LORD your God.

What does the LORD require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

When you shall vow a vow to the LORD your God, you shall not be slack to pay it: for the LORD your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you.

So let a man think of us as Christ's servants, and stewards of God's mysteries. Here, moreover, it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful.
