And, while He was sitting on the mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us when shall these things be, and what is the sign of Thy coming and of the end of the age." And ye will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that ye be not troubled, for these things must come to pass; but the end is not yet. For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. But all these are a beginning of travail. Then will they deliver you up to tribulation, and will slay you; and ye will be hated by all the nations for My name's sake. And then will many be caused to stumble, and will deliver up one another, and hate one another; and many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray; and, because lawlessness abounds, the love of many will grow cold. But he that endures to the end, the same shall be saved. And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the inhabited earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then shall the end come. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ; according as He chose us in Him before the founding of a world, that we should be holy and without blemish before Him in love; having predestinated us to the adoption of sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, read more.
to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He graciously bestowed on us in the Beloved; in Whom we have our redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He made to superabound toward us in all wisdom and understanding; making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Him, for a dispensation of the fulness of the seasons, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens and the things on the earth; in Him, in Whom we also were made a heritage, having been predestinated according to the purpose of Him Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will;

But, concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that aught be written to you; for ye yourselves know accurately that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief at night. When they are saying, "Peace and safety," then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall in nowise escape. read more.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you as a thief; for ye are all sons of light, and sons of day; we are not of night, nor of darkness. So, then, let us not sleep as do the rest, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep sleep at night, and those who are drunken are drunken at night. But let us, being of the day, be sober, having put on a breast-plate of faith and love; and, as a helmet, a hope of salvation; because God did not appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we watch or sleep, we may live together with Him. Wherefore, exhort one another, and build up one another, as also ye do.

Now we request you, brethren, regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to Him, that ye be not quickly shaken from your mind, nor be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by letter as from us, as that the day of the Lord has set in.

he that opposes himself against, and exalts himself above, all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he sits in the temple of God, exhibiting himself as God. Do ye not remember that, when I was yet with you, I was wont to tell you these things? And now ye know what hinders his being revealed in his own season; for the mystery of lawlessness is already working: only He Who hindereth will hinder, until He is taken out of the midst. And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of His mouth, and will bring to nought by the manifestation of His presence; him whose coming is according to the working of Satan in all power and signs and lying wonders, and in all deceit of unrighteousness to those who perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And, for this cause, God sendeth them a working of delusion, that they may believe the lie; that they all may be judged, who believe not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

And, as some were speaking about the temple, "With what beautiful stones and offerings it has been adorned," He said, "As to these things which ye are looking upon, the days will come, in which there will not be left here a stone upon a stone, which will not be thrown down." Then He said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be great earthquakes, and, in various places, famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. And, before all these things, they will lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up into the synagogues and prisons, being brought before kings and governors for My name's sake. It shall result to you for a testimony. Settle it, therefore, in your hearts, not to meditate beforehand how to make a defense; for I will give you a mouth, and wisdom which all your adversaries shall not be able to withstand or gainsay. But ye will be delivered up even by parents, and brothers, and kindred, and friends; and they will put some of you to death. And ye will be hated by all for My name's sake. And a hair of your head shall in no wise perish. In your patience possess ye your souls. "But when ye see Jerusalem encompassed by armies, then know that her desolation has drawn near. Then let those in Judaea flee into the mountains; and let those in the midst of it depart; and let not those in the country enter therein; because these are days of vengeance, that all the things written may be fulfilled. Woe to the women with child, and to those giving suck, in those days; for there will be great distress on the land, and wrath to this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led away captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trodden down by gentiles, until the times of the gentiles are fulfilled. And there will be signs in sun, and moon, and stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity for the roaring of the sea and billows; men fainting for fear and for expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then will they see the Son of Man coming in a cloud, with power and great glory. And, when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads; because your redemption is drawing near." And He spake a parable to them: "Behold the fig tree and all the trees; when they now shoot forth, beholding it, ye know of yourselves that already the summer is near. "But take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be weighed down with gluttony and drunkenness, and anxieties pertaining to life, and that day come upon you suddenly as a snare; for so it will come upon all those dwelling upon the face of all the earth. But watch ye at every season, praying that ye may have full strength to escape all these things that are about to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."

Remember, therefore, how you have received, and did hear; and keep it, and repent. If, therefore, you do not watch, I will come as a thief, and you shall not know at what hour I will come upon you.

And He will send forth His angels, with the sound of a great trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. "Now from the fig tree learn the parable; When already its branch becomes tender, and the leaves are putting forth, ye know that the summer is near; even so ye, when ye see all these things, know that it is near, at the doors. Verily I say to you, this generation will not pass away, until all these things come to pass.

And, while He was sitting on the mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us when shall these things be, and what is the sign of Thy coming and of the end of the age." And Jesus, answering, said to them, "Take heed that no one lead you astray; for many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will lead many astray. read more.
And ye will hear of wars and rumors of wars. "When, therefore, ye see the abomination of the desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place, (let him that reads understand), then let those in Judaea flee into the mountains; let him who is on the house-top not go down to take away the things out of his house; and let him who is in the field not turn back to take his garment. But woe to the women with child, and to those giving suck, in those days! And pray, that your flight be not in winter, nor on a sabbath; for then will be great tribulation, such as has not happened from the beginning of the world until now; no, nor ever shall be. And, unless those days should be shortened, no flesh could be saved: but, for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened. Then, if any one shall say to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ!' or 'Here,' believe it not; for there will arise false Christs and false prophets; and they will give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have foretold you. If, therefore, they say to you, 'Behold, He is in the wilderness;' go not forth; 'Behold, He is in the secret chambers,' believe it not, For, as the lightning comes forth from the east, and shines unto the west, so shall be the coming of the Son of Man. Verily I say to you, this generation will not pass away, until all these things come to pass. The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away. But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only. For as the days of Noe were, so shall be the coming of the Son of Man. For, as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day on which Noe entered into the ark, and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Then two men will be in the field; one is carried off, and one is left behind; two women will be grinding at the mill, one is carried off, and one is left behind. Watch ye, therefore, because ye know not in what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that, had the householder known at what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through. Therefore, be ye also ready; for, in an hour that ye think not, the Son of Man is coming. "Who, then, is the faithful and wise servant whom his lord set over his household, to give them their food in season? Happy is that servant whom his lord, when he comes, shall find so doing. Verily I say to you, that he will appoint him over all his possessions. But, if that evil servant shall say in his heart, 'My lord is delaying,' and shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and shall eat and drink with the drunken; the lord of that servant will come in a day when he is not expecting him, and in an hour when he knows not, and will cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites. There will be the weeping, and the gnashing of teeth!"

And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fallen out of the heaven to the earth, and there was given to him the key of the pit of the abyss. And he opened the pit of the abyss; and there went up a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And out of the smoke came forth locusts upon the earth; and authority was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have authority. read more.
And it was said to them, that they should not injure the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only such men as have not the seal of God upon their foreheads. And it was given to them, that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months. And their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when it strikes a man. And in those days will men seek death, and shall in no wise find it; and they will desire to die, and death flees from them. And the shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for battle; and on their heads as it were crowns like gold; and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women; and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running into battle. And they have tails like scorpions, and stings; and in their tails is their power to hurt men five months. They have over them as king the angel of the abyss: his name in Hebrew is Abaddon; and, in the Greek, he has a name Apollyon. The first woe departed; behold, there are coming yet two woes hereafter! And the sixth angel sounded; and I heard one voice out of the horns of the golden altar which is before God, saying to the sixth angel, who had the trumpet; "Loose the four angels that are bound in the great river Euphrates."
