A scoffer seeks wisdom, and finds it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understands.

Young men in whom was no blemish, but handsome, and skilful in all wisdom, and gifted in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the language of the Chaldeans.
But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
To give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.
A scoffer seeks wisdom, and finds it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understands.
When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto your soul;
And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
Because an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and solving of riddles, and explaining of problems, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.

Judgments are prepared for scoffers and stripes for the back of fools.
A wise son hears his father's instruction: but a scoffer hears not rebuke.
Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scornful men, that rule this people who are in Jerusalem. Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with sheol are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scoffer is an abomination to men.

How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? and the scoffers delight in their scoffing, and fools hate knowledge?
The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesses the habitation of the just. Surely he scorns the scornful: but he gives grace unto the lowly.
A scoffer loves not one that reproves him: neither will he go unto the wise.

Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and you refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But you have ignored all my counsel, and would have none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear comes; When your terror comes as desolation, and your destruction comes as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish comes upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: Because they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

Understanding » Those that understand
In the lips of him that has understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
He that is void of wisdom despises his neighbor: but a man of understanding holds his peace.
Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.
Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding.
He that gets wisdom loves his own soul: he that keeps understanding shall find good.
A scoffer seeks wisdom, and finds it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understands.
The heart of him that has understanding seeks knowledge: but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.
Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that has it: but the instruction of fools is folly.
Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: And he changes the times and the seasons: he removes kings, and sets up kings: he gives wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge its state shall be prolonged.

All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing crooked or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understands, and right to them that find knowledge.
