Eternal life » God promising eternal life
which is after godliness upon the hope of eternal life; which life God, that cannot lie, hath promised before the world began:
Let therefore abide in you that same which ye heard at the beginning. If that which ye heard at the beginning shall remain in you, then ye also shall continue in the son, and in the father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
And this is the witness: how that God hath given unto us eternal life, and this life is in his son.

God forbid. Let God be true, and all men liars, as it is written, "That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings and shouldest overcome when thou art judged."
