O Israel, trust in the LORD, from this time forth for evermore.

O Israel, trust in the LORD; for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

They that fear thee, will be glad when they see me, because I put my trust in thy word.

O take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for my hope is in thy judgments.

He shall neither be overseen nor hasty, that he may restore righteousness unto the earth: and the Gentiles also shall keep his laws.

And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers:

Why art thou so full of heaviness, O my soul, and why art thou so disquieted within me? Put thy trust in God; for I will give him thanks for the help of his countenance.

and which delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver - on whom we trust, that yet hereafter he will deliver us,

And Shecaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the children of Elam, answered, and said unto Ezra, "We have trespassed against the LORD our God, in that we have taken strange wives of the people of the land. Now there is hope yet in Israel concerning this:

that the poor may have hope, and that the mouth of the oppressor may be stopped.

Consider mine enemies, how many they are; and they bear a tyrannous hate against me. O keep my soul, and deliver me; let me not be confounded, for I have put my trust in thee. Let perfectness and righteous dealing wait upon me, for my hope hath been in thee.

O establish me according unto thy word, that I may live; and let me not be disappointed of my hope.

"Hast thou then utterly forsaken Judah?" said I, "Doest thou so abhor Zion? Or hast thou so plagued us, that we can be healed no more? We looked for peace, and there cometh no good: for the time of health, and lo, here is nothing but trouble.

She that is a very widow, and friendless, putteth her trust in God, and continueth in supplication and prayer night and day:

Blessed is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, and whose hope is in the LORD his God,

Then mightest thou have comfort, in the hope that thou hast; and sleep quietly, when thou art buried.

For all they that hope in thee shall not be ashamed; but such as transgress without a cause shall be put to confusion.

A horse is counted but a vain thing to save a man; neither shall he deliver any man by his great strength. Behold, the eye of the LORD looketh unto them that fear him, and upon them that put their trust in his mercy,

I will always give thanks unto thee, for that thou hast done: and I will hope in thy name, for thy saints like it well.

Are there any among the gods of the Gentiles, that send rain or give the showers of heaven? Dost not thou it, O LORD our God, in whom we trust? Yea LORD, thou dost all these things."

While I consider these things in my heart, I get a hope again. {Khet} Namely, that the mercies of the LORD are not clean gone, and that his loving-kindness ceaseth not.

And in another place Isaiah saith, "There shall be the root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the gentiles: in him shall the gentiles trust."

For wicked doers shall be rooted out; but they that patiently abide the LORD, shall inherit the land.

Let thy merciful kindness, O LORD, be upon us, like as we do put our trust in thee.

As for me, I will patiently abide always, and will ever increase thy praise.

Even so shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul, as soon as thou hast gotten it. And there is good hope; yea, thy hope shall not be in vain. Lay no privy wait wickedly upon the house of the righteous, and disquiet not his resting place. For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again; but the ungodly fall into wickedness.

My righteousness is nigh, and my salvation shall go out, and mine arms shall judge nations, and islands shall look for me and shall tarry after mine arm.

{Tet} O how good is the LORD unto them that put their trust in him, and to the soul that seeketh after him?

Turn you now to the stronghold, ye that be in prison, and long sore to be delivered: And this day I bring the word, that I will reward thee double again.

Which Abraham, contrary to hope, believed in hope: that he should be the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, "So shall thy seed be."

yet our hope is steadfast for you inasmuch as we know how, that as ye have your part in afflictions, so shall ye be partakers of consolation.

and we boast not ourselves out of measure in other men's labors. Yea, and we hope, when your faith is increased among you, to be magnified according to our measure more largely;
