And the second is like it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these.

But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

And he also said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men as the washing of pots and cups, and many other such like things ye do.

Then Paul and Barnabas speaking with freedom, said, It was necessary indeed that the word of God should first have been spoken to you; but seeing ye put it from you and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles that thou should be for saving health unto the ends of the earth.

For the times of this ignorance God overlooked, but he now commands all men everywhere to repent

Who having understood the righteousness of God, they did not understand that those who do such things are worthy of death, not only those that do the same, but even those who encourage those that do them.

Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God, our Saviour and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope,

and has manifested in due times. It is his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he has commanded us.

How is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly and said one to another, Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

And they came to him and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and there was a calm. And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they, being afraid, wondered, saying one to another, Who is this! for he even commands the winds and the water, and they obey him.

Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, behold, I am with you always even unto the end of the age. Amen.

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent, and come out of him. And the unclean spirit tore him and cried with a loud voice and came out of him. And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? What new doctrine is this? for he commands the unclean spirits with power, and they obey him.

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent and come out of him. And the demon, throwing him down in the midst, came out of him and hurt him not. And they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, What word is this! For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.

And he charged them straitly that no one should know it and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

And her parents were astonished, but he charged them that they should tell no one what was done.

When Jesus saw that the multitude concurred, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I command thee, come out of him and enter no more into him.

This is my commandment, That ye love one another as I have loved you.

Even so the Lord has ordained that those who preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

And he commanded us to preach unto the people and to testify that it is he who is ordained of God to be the Judge of living and dead.

And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife separate from her husband; and if she separates, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband, and let not the husband put away his wife.

If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

For ye already know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

that ye keep in memory the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets and of our commandment, that we are apostles of the Lord and Saviour,

Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning. Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which is the truth in him and in you, because the darkness is past, and the true light now shines.

And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they begged him to tarry certain days.

And as they went through the cities, they asked them to keep the decrees that had been determined by the apostles and elders who were at Jerusalem.

And she did this for many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

And we have confidence in the Lord regarding you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

Even as I besought thee to remain at Ephesus when I went into Macedonia, that thou might charge some that they not teach diverse doctrine, nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which generate questions other than that the edification of God is by faith. Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart and of a good conscience and of faith unfeigned:

Command and teach this.

Charge those that are rich in this world, that they not be highminded, not placing their hope in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy; but charge them to do good, that they be rich in good works, liberal to distribute, willing to communicate,

I give thee charge in the sight of God, who gives life to all things and before Christ Jesus, who testified before Pontius Pilate a good profession; that thou keep the commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,

And some cried one thing, some another, among the multitude; and when he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the fortress.

And when there arose a great dissension, the tribunal, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and to take him by force from among them and to bring him into the fortress.

Now both the high priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that if anyone knew where he was he should show it, that they might take him.

saying, Did we not strictly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.

And the prince of the priests, Ananias, commanded those that stood by him to smite him on the mouth. Then Paul said unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whitewashed wall, for dost thou sit to judge me after the law and command me to be smitten contrary to the law?

For when Moses had read every commandment of the law to all the people, taking the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, he sprinkled both the book and all the people, saying, This is the blood of the testament which God has commanded unto you.

Then Jesus said unto him, See thou tell no one; but go, show thyself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

and said unto him, See thou say nothing to any man, but go, show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a bill of divorce and to put her away? He said unto them, Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, suffered you to put away your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.

And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorce and to put her away.

Now Moses in the law commanded us that such should be stoned, but what sayest thou?

Then sin, when there was occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of lust. For without the law sin was as if it were dormant. So that without the law I lived for some time; but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. And I found that the same commandment, which was unto life, was mortal unto me.read more.
