And if one member suffer, all suffer with him: if one member be had in honour, all members be glad also. Ye are the body of Christ, and members one of another.
A new commandment give I unto you: that ye love together: as I have loved you, that even so ye love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye shall have love one to another."

In conclusion, be ye all of one mind, one suffer with another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous,
Let us not, therefore, judge one another any more. But judge this, rather: that no man put a stumbling block, or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
Wherefore receive ye one another as Christ received us, to the praise of God.

so was our affection toward you. Our good will was to have dealt unto you, not the gospel of God only: but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.
We beseech you brethren, that ye know them which labour among you, and have the oversight of you in the Lord, and give you exhortation, that ye have them the more in love: For their work's sake, and be at peace with them.
This is a true saying: If a man covet the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
Obey them that have the oversight of you, and submit yourselves to them, for they watch for your souls, even as they that must give accounts for them: that they may do it with joy, and not with grief. For that is an unprofitable thing for you.
The elders which are among you I exhort, which am also an elder and a witness of the afflictions of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be opened: see that ye feed Christ's flock, which is among you, taking the oversight of them: not as though ye were compelled thereto, but willingly; Not for the desire of filthy lucre, but of a good mind. Not as though ye were lords over the parishes: but that ye be an example to the flock.
