8 Bible Verses about Confession

"And I tell you that whoever confesses me before men, the Son of man will confess him before the angels of God;

I indeed am baptizing you in water, unto repentance; but One is coming after me, mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire.

Wherefore I want you to understand that no one who speaks in the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except in the Holy Spirit.

If any man confesses that "Jesus is the Son of God." God is abiding in that man, and he in God.

By this you know the Spirit of God; every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is from God; and every spirit which confesses him not, is not from God. And this is that spirit of Antichrist of which you have heard that it is coming, and that now it is already in the world.

Whoever denies the Son, the same has not the Father; but he who confesses the Son has the Father also. As for you, let what you have heard from the beginning abide in you.

By this you know the Spirit of God; every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is from God;

Confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God actually raised him from the dead, and you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. The Scriptures say, Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.

So confess your sins one to another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. For the fervent prayer of a righteous man is mighty in its working.

This, then, is the message that we have heard from him, and are announcing to you, that God is light, and no darkness what ever is in him. If we say, "We have partnership with Him," when we are passing our life in the darkness, we are lying and are not doing the truth. But is we are passing our life in the light, as he is in the light, we ever have partnership with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ is cleansing us from every sin. read more.
If we say, "We have no sin," we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, faithful is he and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all wrong-doing.

And for this God highly exalted him, and graciously bestowed upon him the name which is above every name; that in the name of Jesus every knee in heaven, on earth, and under the earth should bend, and every tongue confess that "Jesus Christ is Lord," to the glory of God the Father.

Yet you have a few names in Sardis that have not defiled their garment; and they shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall thus be clad in white raiment; and I will in no wise blot out his name from the book of life, and I will own his name before my Father, and before his angels.

I say this because many deceivers are gone forth into the world, those who deny the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the Antichrist.

and every spirit which confesses him not, is not from God. And this is that spirit of Antichrist of which you have heard that it is coming, and that now it is already in the world.
