For God so loved the world, that he gave the only begotten Son, that every one who believeth in him may not perish, but may have everlasting life.

For I am persuaded, that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God for us, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning those who are sleeping, that ye may not sorrow, as others do, who have no hope. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a loud summons, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first; then we who are living, we who are left, shall be caught up together with them in clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we be ever with the Lord. So then comfort one another with these words.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, Write, Blessed are the dead, who die in the Lord from henceforth. Yea, saith the Spirit, that they shall rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.

Jesus answered and said to him, What I do thou knowest not now, but thou wilt know hereafter.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world giveth, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.

and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall mourning, nor crying, nor pain he any more; for the former things are passed away.

For he must reign, "till he hath put all enemies under his feet." The last enemy, death, will be destroyed;

and I give them everlasting life; and they shall never perish, nor shall any one tear them out of my hand. That which my Father hath given me is greater than all; and no one is able to tear [them] out of the Fathers hand.

and grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.

For I esteem the sufferings of the present time as of no account, when compared with the glory which is about to be revealed to us.

and when I have gone away and prepared a place for you, I will come again, and will take you to myself; that where I am, ye also may be.

For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Whether then we live or die, we are the Lords.
