And as the LORD passed by before him, he proclaimed, I AM, I AM strong, merciful, and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in mercy and truth,

but because the LORD loved you and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, has the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand and ransomed you out of the house of slavery from the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt. Know, therefore, that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with those that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations

The strong One, whose work is perfect: for all his ways are right; a God of truth and without iniquity, just and upright is he.

being fully persuaded that he was also powerful to do all that he had promised;

if we are unfaithful, yet he remains faithful; he cannot deny himself.

and didst find his heart faithful before thee and didst make a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite, to give it, to his seed and hast performed thy word; for thou art righteous.

Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.

Faithful is he that has called you, who will also do it.

For when God promised unto Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he swore by himself, saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.read more.
For men verily swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all controversy. In which God, desiring to show more abundantly unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us,

And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one word has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing has failed thereof.

There failed not a word of all the good things which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all of it came to pass.

Blessed be the LORD that has given rest unto his people Israel according to all that he had said; not one word has failed of all his good word, which he spoke by the hand of Moses, his slave.

Be mindful always of his covenant, the word which he commanded in a thousand generations,

Mem Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all ages, and thy dominion endures throughout all generations.

The Lord is not late concerning his promise, as some count lateness, but is patient with us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing. And I will bless those that bless thee and curse those that curse thee, and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

And then the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thy heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thy heir.

And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did with Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

For the word of the promise is this, At this time I will come, and Sara shall have a son.

So that we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

And it shall come to pass, when thy days are fulfilled to go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build me a house, and I will establish his throne eternally.

And it was in the heart of David, my father, to build a house for the name of the LORD God of Israel. But the LORD said unto David, my father, Whereas it was in thy heart to build a house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thy heart; nevertheless, thou shalt not build the house, but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build a house unto my name.read more.

And he burnt the house of the LORD and the king's house and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man's house he burnt with fire. And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the captain of the guard, broke down the walls of Jerusalem round about.read more.

But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left certain of the poor of the land for vinedressers and for husbandmen.

Now in the first year of Cyrus, king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus, king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and put it also in writing, saying, Thus saith Cyrus, king of Persia, The LORD God of the heavens has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? Let God be with him and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel (he is God), which is in Jerusalem.

And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.

For thus hath the LORD said, That after seventy years are accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and quicken my good word upon you to cause you to return to this place.

in the first year of his reign, I Daniel saw diligently in the books the number of the years, of which the LORD spoke unto Jeremiah the prophet, which would conclude the desolation of Jerusalem in seventy years. And I turned my face unto the Lord God, seeking him in prayer and supplication, in fasting and sackcloth, and ashes:

With the merciful thou art good, and with the perfect thou art upright.

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

let us hold fast the profession of our hope without wavering (for he is faithful that promised).

For what if some of them did not believe? Shall their unbelief have made the truth of God without effect? No, in no wise: for God is true, and every man a liar; as it is written, That thou might be justified in thy words and might overcome when thou dost judge.

Because I, the LORD, will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall no longer be prolonged, for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and will perform it, said the Lord GOD.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie; though it tarry, wait for it because it will surely come; wait for it.

Now I say that Christ Jesus, was a minister of the circumcision, by the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers; but that the Gentiles glorify God by mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess thee among the Gentiles and sing unto thy name.

For all the promises of God are yes in him, and in him Amen, by us for the glory of God. Now he who confirms us with you unto Christ and has anointed us is God; who has also sealed us and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

who was faithful to him that appointed him over all his house, as also Moses was faithful. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who has built the house has more honour than the house. For every house is built by someone, but he that created all things is God.read more.
And Moses verily was faithful over all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after, but Christ as a son over his own house, which house we are, if we hold fast the confidence and the glorious hope firmly until the end.

and from Jesus, the Christ, who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins with his own blood

And I saw the heaven open, and behold a white horse; and he that was seated upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
