upon which He saith to his disciples, The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers few: therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest, that He would send out laborers into his harvest.
After these things the Lord appointed also seventy others, and sent them two and two before Him, into every city and place, whither He himself was about to come. And He said unto them, The harvest indeed is great, but the laborers are few: pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that He would send out workmen to his harvest.
And He said, The kingdom of God is as if a man should cast seed into the ground, and sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up, and increase; he knows not how. For the earth produces fruit of itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear:read more.
but when the fruit is ripe, he immediately puts in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him that sat upon the cloud, Put in thy sickle and reap; for the time to reap is come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
