Then were brought to Him little children, that He might put his hands upon them, and bless them: and the disciples rebuked them; but Jesus said, Suffer the children to come to me, and do not hinder them: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
And they brought to Him little children that He might touch them: and the disciples rebuked those that brought them. Which Jesus observing, was much displeased, and said to them, Let the children come to me; and hinder them not; for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I tell you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, shall by no means enter into it.read more.
And He took them in his arms, and put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
And they brought to Him infants also, that He might touch them: and his disciples seeing it rebuked them. But Jesus called them to Him and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I tell you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall by no means enter into it.
And upon this occasion Jesus opened his mouth and said, "I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and knowing, and hast revealed them to babes:
At this time Jesus was transported with joy in his spirit and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and knowing, and hast revealed them to babes: even so, Father, for such was thy good pleasure.
For ye see by your calling, brethren, that not many wise men according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called: but God hath chosen things that are foolish in the eye of the world to put it's wise men to confusion; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the mighty; and things in the opinion of the world ignoble, and despicable, and accounted as nothing, hath God chosen, to abolish things that are in esteem among men;read more.

And Jesus calling to Him a little child, set it in the midst of them, and said, Verily I declare unto you, unless ye be converted, and become like little children, ye shall never enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, he shall be greatest in the kingdom of heaven:read more.
and whoever shall receive one such little child for my sake, receiveth me:
And He took a child and set him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms He said unto them, Whoever shall receive one of these little children in my name, receiveth me; and whosoever receiveth me, receiveth not me only, but Him that sent me.
And Jesus knowing the thought of their heart, took a child and set him by Him, and said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this little child for my sake, receiveth me: and he that receiveth me, receiveth Him that sent me. For he that is lest among you all, shall be great.
He that receiveth you, receiveth me: and he that receiveth me, receiveth Him that sent me. He that receiveth a prophet as a prophet, shall have a prophet's reward: and he that receiveth a righteous man as such, shall receive a righteous man's reward. And whosoever shall give to one of these mean persons but a cup of cold water to drink, as my disciple, I assure you, he shall not lose his reward.
For whosoever shall give you but a cup of water to drink, for my sake; because ye are Christ's, I assure you, he shall not lose his reward.
See that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I tell you, that their angels in heaven do continually appear in the presence of my father, who is in heaven:
My brethren, be not children in sense: but in malice be infants, and in your judgements shew yourselves to be men.
and envies, and all evil-speakings, as new-born babes desire that rational milk which is without guile, that ye may grow thereby: for ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious;
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned as a child: but when I became a man, I laid aside childish things.
For every one that wanteth milk, is unacquainted with the doctrine of justification; for he is an infant:
for the promise is to you and to your children, yea and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Honour thy father and thy mother, (which is the first commandment with promise,) that it may be well with thee, and thou shalt be long-lived upon the earth.
but whosoever shall lay a stumbling-block in the way of one of these little ones, who believe in me, it were better for him that a milstone were hung on his neck, and that he were thrown into the sea.
And whosoever shall cause one of these little ones, that believe in me, to offend, it were better for him, if a milstone were laid upon his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
Now if we had fathers of our flesh, who corrected us, and we gave them reverence; shall we not much more be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live?
But if any widow have children or grandchildren, let these learn first to shew piety at home, and to make suitable returns to their parents: for this is becoming, and acceptable in the sight of God.
Likewise ye younger, be subject to the elder; and all of you behaving with due submission one to another, be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, but sheweth favor to the humble.
