And he took the book of the covenant, and read it in the ears of the people; and they said, All that Jehovah has said will we do, and obey!

but these are written that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life in his name.

and that from a child thou hast known the sacred letters, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Blessed is he that reads, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things written in it; for the time is near.

As we have said before, now also again I say, If any one announce to you as glad tidings anything besides what ye have received, let him be accursed.

Wherefore, beloved, as ye wait for these things, be diligent to be found of him in peace, without spot and blameless; and account the longsuffering of our Lord to be salvation; according as our beloved brother Paul also has written to you according to the wisdom given to him, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; among which some things are hard to be understood, which the untaught and ill-established wrest, as also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.

These things have I written to you concerning those who lead you astray:

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits, if they are of God; because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
