But the angel of the Lord struck him down immediately, because he did not give the honor to God; and he was eaten by worms and died.

She instantly fell down at his feet and expired. When the young men came in they found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.

And when this mortal nature puts on immortality, then what the Scripture says will come true??Death has been triumphantly destroyed.

Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about life, wondering what you will have to eat or drink, or about your body, wondering what you will have to wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body than clothes?

You must not be afraid; you are worth more than a great many sparrows!

For what good will it do a man if he gains the whole world but parts with his life? What can a man give to buy back his life?

What good does it do a man to gain the whole world and lose or forfeit himself?

and for three days he could not see, and neither ate nor drank.
