And one of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him. And going into the Pharisee's house, he sat down to table.

having an alabaster box of very costly ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at table.

I praise you not. For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus the night in which he was betrayed, took bread, And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat, this is my body, which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of me.

And she said, True, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master's table.

She answered and said to him, True, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.

and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table: yea, the dogs also came and licked his sores.

And I appoint to you a kingdom, as my Father to me, That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

who made a marriage-feast for his son. And sent forth his servants to call them that were invited, to the marriage; but they would not come.

And one of them that sat at table with him, hearing these things, said to him, Happy is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

And he spake a parable to them that were invited, when he marked how they chose the chief seats,

The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we, being many, are one bread, and one body; for we are all partakers of the one bread. Consider Israel after the flesh. Are not they who eat of the sacrifices, partakers of the altar?read more.
What say I then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is any thing? or that an idol is any thing? But that what the heathens sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God. Now I would not that ye should be partakers with devils.

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils; ye cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord, and the table of devils.

When the evening was come, he sat down with the twelve. And as they ate he said, Verily I say to you, One of you will betray me. And they were exceeding sorrowful and began each of them to say to him,

Jesus said, Verily I say to you, one of you that eat with me will betray me.

But behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.

For which is greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serveth? Is not he that sitteth at table? But I am in the midst of you as he that serveth.

Happy are those servants, whom the Lord, when he cometh, shall find watching; verily I say to you, that he will gird himself, and make them sit down to table, and will come forth and serve them.

Then the twelve calling the multitude of the disciples together, said, It is not right, that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.

and sheep, and doves, and the changers of money sitting. And having made a scourge of rushes, he drove all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers money,

And Jesus went into the temple, and cast out all that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the mony-changers, and the seats of them that sold doves;

For there was a tabernacle prepared, the first, in which was the candlestick, and the table, and the shew-bread; which is called The holy place.
