Then he arose and went, and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure and had come to Jerusalem to worship, was returning and sitting in his chariot reading Isaiah the prophet.

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things; but only one thing is necessary, and Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him; but Mary sat still in the house.

Now after two days he departed from that place and went into Galilee. For Jesus himself testified that a prophet has no honour in his own country. When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain other of them should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints who dwelt at Lydda.

And in those days prophets came down from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

Now if Timothy comes, see that he may stay with you securely, for he does the work of the Lord, as I also do.

And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which we have in you. Regarding Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you; or regarding our brethren, they are the apostles of the congregations and the glory of Christ. Therefore show ye unto them before the congregations , the proof of your charity and of our glorying regarding you.

But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face because he was to be blamed.

But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort when I know your state.

And some days after, Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord and see how they do. And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark. But Paul thought it not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia and did not go with them to the work.read more.
And the contention was so sharp between them that they departed asunder one from the other, and so Barnabas took Mark and sailed unto Cyprus; and Paul chose Silas and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God. And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the congregations .

After these things were ended, Paul purposed by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem, after he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, saying, After I have been there, it behooves me to see Rome also.

But now having more place in these parts and having a great desire these many years to come unto you, when I leave for Spain, I will come unto you; for I trust to see you on my journey and to be taken there by you, if first I may enjoy your company. But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.read more.
For it has pleased those of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints who are in Jerusalem. It has pleased them verily, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they should also minister unto them in carnal things. So that, when I have concluded this and have delivered unto them this fruit, I will come by you unto Spain. But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in grief.

Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be burdensome to you, for I seek not your things, but you; for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

For you yourselves, brethren, know that our entrance unto you was not vain,

When I shall send Artemas unto thee or Tychicus, procure to come unto me to Nicopolis; for I have determined to winter there.

And from there, when the brethren heard of us, they came to meet us as far as Appii Forum and The Three Taverns whom when Paul saw, he thanked God and took courage.

Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and companion in labour and fellowsoldier, but your messenger and he that ministered to my needs.

The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chain; for when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently and found me.

Procure to come shortly unto me; for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. Only Luke is with me. Take Mark and bring him with thee, for he is profitable to me for the ministry.read more.
And Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus. The cloak that I left at Troas in the house of Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee and the books, but especially the parchments.

Remember those that are in bonds as bound with them and those who suffer adversity as being yourselves also in the body.

Do not forget to show hospitality; for thereby some, having entertained angels, were kept.
