'Ancient' in the Bible
“With the best things of the ancient mountains,And with the precious things of the everlasting hills,
and Jokim, the men of Cozeba, Joash, and Saraph, who ruled in Moab, and Jashubi-lehem. These are ancient words (genealogical records).
Next to them Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, one of the goldsmiths, made repairs. Next to him Hananiah, one of the perfumers, made repairs, and they restored Jerusalem as far as the Broad Wall.
To Him who rides in the highest heavens, the ancient heavens,Behold, He sends out His voice, a mighty and majestic voice.

Thus says the Lord God, “Because the enemy has said of you, ‘Aha!’ and, ‘The ancient heights have become our property,’
“I kept lookingUntil thrones were set up,And the Ancient of Days (God) took His seat;His garment was white as snowAnd the hair of His head like pure wool.His throne was flames of fire;Its wheels were a burning fire.
“I kept looking in the night visions,And behold, on the clouds of heavenOne like a Son of Man was coming,And He came up to the Ancient of DaysAnd was presented before Him.
until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was passed in favor of the saints of the Most High [God], and the time arrived when the saints (believers) took possession of the kingdom.
“But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,Too little to be among the clans of Judah;From you One shall come forth for Me [who is] to be Ruler in Israel,His goings forth (appearances) are from long ago,From ancient days.”
For the Lord will restore the splendor and majesty of JacobLike the splendor of [ancient and united] Israel,Even though destroyers have destroyed themAnd ruined their vine branches.
Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord as in the days of old and as in ancient years.
Just as He promised by the mouth of His holy prophets from the most ancient times—
They answered, “John the Baptist, and some say, Elijah; but others, that one of the ancient prophets has come back to life.”
whom heaven must keep until the time for the [complete] restoration of all things about which God promised through the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.
