'Good news' in the Bible
Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle and singled out for God’s good news—
God had promised this good news a long time ago through His prophets [and had it written] in the holy Scriptures [i.e., the Old Testament].
For God, whom I serve with my spirit in telling the good news about His Son, is my witness that I constantly mention you,
So I am eager to preach the good news to you also who are in Rome.
for I am not ashamed of the good news of the Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to every one who is believing, both to Jew first, and to Greek.
For in the good news God's Way of man's right standing with Him is uncovered, the Way of faith that leads to greater faith, just as the Scripture says, "The upright man must live by faith."
in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my good news, through Jesus Christ.
And how will they preach, unless they are sent? Just as it is written, "How timely [are] the feet of those who bring good news of good things."
But not all have obeyed the good news, for Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?"
They are indeed enemies toward the good-news for your sake, but toward selection, they are beloved for the fathers' sake.
To be a servant of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, doing the work of a priest in the good news of God, so that the offering of the Gentiles might be pleasing to God, being made holy by the Holy Spirit.
By signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as Illyricum I have given all the good news of Christ;
Making it my purpose not to take the good news where Christ was named, so that my work might not be resting on that of others;
and I have known that coming unto you -- in the fulness of the blessing of the good news of Christ I shall come.
25 Now to him who is able to establish you according to my Good News and the proclaiming of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret through long ages,
Now to him who is able to make you strong in agreement with the good news which I gave you and the preaching of Jesus Christ, in the light of the revelation of that secret which has been kept through times eternal,
