'Man' in the Bible

They say to their mothers,“Where is grain and wine?”As they faint like a wounded manIn the streets of the city,As their life is poured outOn their mothers’ bosom.

The child and the old man lie on the ground in the streets; my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword: thou hast slain them in the day of thine anger; thou hast killed, thou hast not spared.

I am the man that hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.

It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.

For the Lord does not give a man up for ever.
