'Praiseworthy' in the Bible
Who is like you among the gods, Yahweh? Who is like you--glorious in holiness, awesome [in] praiseworthy actions, doing wonders?
I call [upon] Yahweh who is praiseworthy, and I [am] saved from those who hate me.
The Lord is alive! My protector is praiseworthy! The God who delivers me is exalted as king!
Say this prayer: "Deliver us, O God who delivers us! Gather us! Rescue us from the nations! Then we will give thanks to your holy name, and boast about your praiseworthy deeds."
Then I will tell about all your praiseworthy acts; in the gates of Daughter Zion I will rejoice because of your deliverance."
The Lord is alive! My protector is praiseworthy! The God who delivers me is exalted as king!
we will not hide from their descendants. We will tell the next generation about the Lord's praiseworthy acts, about his strength and the amazing things he has done.
Then we, your people, the sheep of your pasture, will continually thank you. We will tell coming generations of your praiseworthy acts.
Who can adequately recount the Lord's mighty acts, or relate all his praiseworthy deeds?
Deliver us, O Lord, our God! Gather us from among the nations! Then we will give thanks to your holy name, and boast about your praiseworthy deeds.
I will make known the Lord’s faithful loveand the Lord’s praiseworthy acts,because of all the Lord has done for us—even the many good thingsHe has done for the house of Israeland has done for them based on His compassionand the abundance of His faithful love.
At that time I will bring you back,yes, at the time I will gather you.I will give you fame and praiseamong all the peoples of the earth,when I restore your fortunes before your eyes.Yahweh has spoken.
Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven.
But Jesus, aware [of the malice] of this [remark], said to them, “Why are you bothering the woman? She has done a good thing to Me.
"Praiseworthy indeed!" He added, "to set at nought God's Commandment in order to observe your own traditions!
But Jesus said, “Let her alone; why are you bothering her and causing trouble? She has done a good and beautiful thing to Me.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is fair, whatever is pure, whatever is acceptable, whatever is commendable, if there is anything of excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy keep thinking about these things.
