'Rich' in the Bible
Now Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver and in gold.
that I will not take a thread or a sandal thong or anything that is yours, for fear you would say, ‘I have made Abram rich.’
The Lord has greatly blessed my master, so that he has become rich; and He has given him flocks and herds, and silver and gold, and servants and maids, and camels and donkeys.
and the man became rich, and continued to grow richer until he became very wealthy;
“As for Asher, his food shall be rich,And he will yield royal dainties.
The rich shall not pay more and the poor shall not pay less than the half shekel, when you give the contribution to the Lord to make atonement for yourselves.
“You who ride on white donkeys,You who sit on rich carpets,And you who travel on the road—sing!
Then he said, “May you be blessed of the Lord, my daughter. You have shown your last kindness to be better than the first by not going after young men, whether poor or rich.
“The Lord makes poor and rich;He brings low, He also exalts.
Now there was a man in Maon whose business was in Carmel; and the man was very rich, and he had three thousand sheep and a thousand goats. And it came about while he was shearing his sheep in Carmel
Then the Lord sent Nathan to David. And he came to him and said,“There were two men in one city, the one rich and the other poor.
“Now a traveler came to the rich man,And he was unwilling to take from his own flock or his own herd,To prepare for the wayfarer who had come to him;Rather he took the poor man’s ewe lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.”
They found rich and good pasture, and the land was broad and quiet and peaceful; for those who lived there formerly were Hamites.
“But they, in their own kingdom,With Your great goodness which You gave them,With the broad and rich land which You set before them,Did not serve You or turn from their evil deeds.
“He will not become rich, nor will his wealth endure;And his grain will not bend down to the ground.
“He lies down rich, but never again;He opens his eyes, and it is no longer.
Who shows no partiality to princesNor regards the rich above the poor,For they all are the work of His hands?

He who oppresses the poor to make more for himselfOr who gives to the rich, will only come to poverty.
Better is the poor who walks in his integrityThan he who is crooked though he be rich.
The rich man is wise in his own eyes,But the poor who has understanding sees through him.
A faithful man will abound with blessings,But he who makes haste to be rich will not go unpunished.
The sleep of the working man is pleasant, whether he eats little or much; but the full stomach of the rich man does not allow him to sleep.
folly is set in many exalted places while rich men sit in humble places.
Furthermore, in your bedchamber do not curse a king, and in your sleeping rooms do not curse a rich man, for a bird of the heavens will carry the sound and the winged creature will make the matter known.
Then He will give you rain for the seed which you will sow in the ground, and bread from the yield of the ground, and it will be rich and plenteous; on that day your livestock will graze in a roomy pasture.

I will feed them in a good pasture, and their grazing ground will be on the mountain heights of Israel. There they will lie down on good grazing ground and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.
And Ephraim said, “Surely I have become rich,I have found wealth for myself;In all my labors they will find in meNo iniquity, which would be sin.”
“For the rich men of the city are full of violence,Her residents speak lies,And their tongue is deceitful in their mouth.
“Will not all of these take up a taunt-song against him,Even mockery and insinuations against himAnd say, ‘Woe to him who increases what is not his—For how long—And makes himself rich with loans?’
Those who buy them slay them and go unpunished, and each of those who sell them says, ‘Blessed be the Lord, for I have become rich!’ And their own shepherds have no pity on them.
